First, proving exactly my point.

Over the transom:

While I greatly admire and respect so much of what you have done in writing and in podcasts, and I absolutely do not regret having contributed to this in the past – since you think I, as a woman, should be deprived of my right to vote –

I will never contribute to you again.

Dear Mrs Barnhardt,

First of all, thank you for your great podcasts! During the last podcast’s wrap-up, you said that you are not sure if the Continue To Give platform works in non Anglo-Saxon countries. I would like to confirm that it does work, at least in EU. I’ve been your supporter for over 6 years now, and never had any issues with payments (and I’m not using USD for those payments). I’m writing from Poland and I love your podcast because:

• you opened my eyes in regards to the antipope situation,

• I can hear some news from the US,

• it gives me an opportunity to improve my English.

Thank you for all of that!

Yours sincerely,

K

Thank you, K! Here’s your English lesson for the day: since I have never been married, I am “Miss” Barnhardt, not “Mrs.”

In English, “Miss” and “Mrs.” have nothing to do with age – only marital status. Therefore elderly spinsters are always referred to as “Miss”, and an 18 year old newlywed girl becomes “Mrs. (last name of her husband)”.

Fun fact: “Mrs.” is actually an abbreviation of “Mistress” in the sense of a married woman as the lady of the house with authority over children and servants. “Ms.” is a recent feminist construct designed to erase marriage from the culture and vernacular and should never be used.)

Crosspost by permission: The Thinking Housewife on Ten Myths About Women’s Suffrage.

Ann didn’t write this. Laura Wood at THE THINKING HOUSEWIFE wrote everything below. Please click over and bookmark.

Never fully trust a woman who cannot see or denies the obvious: women MUST NOT have suffrage in a society that has any hope of long-term survival, much less success. To enfranchise women is to DISENFRANCHISE the family. By definition.

And that means death. Suicidal death. Death by auto-genocide. Death by divorce, contraception, abortion, sodomy, transvestism, euthanasia, sacrificial child mutilation and sterilization.

All manifest because of women’s suffrage.

Thanks to Laura Wood for her kind permission to crosspost in full this very important essay.

Ten Myths about Women’s Suffrage

Laura Wood

August 8, 2023

I FOUND this list that I wrote a few years ago in my files. I thought it might interest some readers and boost my reputation as a disgusting reactionary.

Ten myths about women’s suffrage

1) Women alone had been excluded from the vote. It was not until 1856 (in France 1848) that all white men in the U.S. had suffrage (1869 for blacks). Poll taxes still existed in some states into the 20th century, excluding men of both races from the vote.

2) The exclusion of women was based on notions of female inferiority. The clergy were excluded from the House of Commons in England; did that mean they were inferior? Men without property were excluded from the vote in early America but not viewed as ontologically inferior.

3) Most women wanted the vote. According to Susan B. Anthony in 1902, in “the indifference, inertia and apathy of women lay the greatest obstacle to their enfranchisement.” She should have included “their hostility.” There has never in history been any organizations of men formed to oppose their own enfranchisement, but large organizations of mostly women were opposed to the female vote.

4) The campaign for the women’s vote was only about voting. Suffragists promised a restructuring of society and were particularly hostile to indissoluble marriage.

5) Its implementation was democratic. It could not be achieved by popular vote, as demonstrated by numerous failed referenda even in states with the women’s franchise, so suffragists sought a constitutional amendment, to be ratified by state legislatures. They kept index cards of unpleasant, personal information about politicians and were accused of blackmail.

6) Suffragists were seeking equality. They didn’t want military service for women and didn’t demand women plumbers, coal miners or trash collectors.

7) Suffragists had a burning interest in politics. Their publications and books were notably lacking in discussions of political issues of the day.

8) The federal government had no vested interest in women’s suffrage. Women’s “liberation” is profitable for government through taxation of employed women and government supervision of the family.

9) The vote is an inalienable natural right. Children don’t have the vote and are still viewed as human beings. Immigrants, both male and female, are denied votes, but are still accorded basic human rights.

10) Women needed the vote to have political power. Prohibition is a salient example of non-enfranchised women shaping politics. Women and their organizations always had the right of petition — and they used it. It is absurd to say that American women were ever wholly indifferent to politics or wholly excluded from them. Also, when women didn’t have the vote, husbands could be jailed for failing to pay their wives’ personal debts and had other mandatory obligations enforced by law. (Hmm, I do so like those shoes I saw the other day….) Men institutionalized male obligations to women without a single female vote, a fact which demolishes the claim that men in Western society as a whole were historically indifferent to the welfare of women.

Here’s one more interesting myth: The women’s vote would improve society at large.

Gee, has it?

Evviva San Lorenzo.

Gian Lorenzo Bernini completed this marble sculpture of The Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence in ARSH 1614 when Bernini was FIFTEEN YEARS OLD. Since ARSH 1998 it has been one of the relatively few sculptures housed in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.

St. Lawrence is one of the most influential and widely-beloved saints of the early Church. He was roasted alive on a brazier (grill). We need his intercession now perhaps more than ever.

St. Lawrence died joyfully proclaiming his faith. He prayed for the conversion of the city of Rome and the world.”

He prayed for the conversion of the city of Rome….

Saint Lawrence, Deacon and Martyr, pray for us. Pray for the conversion/reversion of Rome.

Bernini was fifteen.

FIFTEEN. As in five times three.

Fifteen YEARS. Not decades.

15.

Barnhardt Podcast #193: Left Foot March!

[Direct link to the MP3 file]

In this episode, despite not having a planned outline ahead of time, we discuss the continuing insanity and cesspool of sin that is World Youth Day and the chief pervert in white who told the attendees that, in essence, he is “Jesus.” If a sufficient cohort of manly and virtuous men were still among the active members of the Church Militant then this nonsense could be stopped: God will supply the Graces if we wish to do our part! Until then remember to genuflect and kneel properly when in Church: the disposition of the body informs the soul — and signals to all that you really DO believe what Christ and His church teaches!

For those of us who showed up fashionably late, a lesson in how fast culture tanked concurrent with Vatican II and the attack on the Mass

Our window here is ARSH 1958-1968, just to make it an even decade.

The first video is from the 19 part serial “Annette” which aired every afternoon as a segment of the Mickey Mouse Club. Each installment was ten minutes long, and thus the whole serial ran over four weeks in February and March of ARSH 1958. Other such serials on the Mickey Mouse Club were “The Adventures of Spin and Marty” and “The Hardy Boys”. In watching the entire serial, what is most fascinating are the comments on YouTube by people who were kids and lived through the 1950s. They all agree that YES, LIFE REALLY WAS LIKE THIS. This isn’t an idealized Disney fantasy world. Kids really did comport themselves like this, address each other and adults like this, engage in social and recreational activities like this, sing and dance together like this, dress in suits and semi-formal dresses to visit a friend’s home in the evening, etc.

But what is even more stunning is that the people living through that era as kids report that to a certain extent they KNEW that they were living through a remarkable time, and that they could appreciate, even as children and in the moment, that they were dwelling inside a bubble of civility that was special and likely wouldn’t last.

The next video is from only ten years later – stop and think of ARSH 2013 and how “close” it seems, and then consider the sheer violence of going from “Annette” to… shrieking drug-addled lesbians. And the truth is, this is a fairly mild example. At least Joplin was wearing clothes. Note also the hellish, demonic-sounding dissonance of the electric guitar in the opening bars, later recalled in Joplin’s vocals. Also for reference, Annette Funicello was 89 days older than Janis Joplin. They were almost exactly the same age.

It is no coincidence whatsoever that this broad spectrum societal nosedive occurred at exactly the same time as the failed Second Vatican Council and the advent of the Novus Ordo Mass. There is a direct cause and effect dynamic. The one-two punch of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo was a shot of nitrous oxide into the intake manifold of satan’s war machine.

War. “He will set himself up as if he were God.”

Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
Ne quis vos seducat ullo modo : quoniam nisi venerit discessio primum, et revelatus fuerit homo peccati filius perditionis,

4 Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.
qui adversatur, et extollitur supra omne, quod dicitur Deus, aut quod colitur, ita ut in templo Dei sedeat ostendens se tamquam sit Deus.

Pray for this filthy wretch’s reversion. Remember, to write off ANYONE, including Antipope Bergoglio, is to deny that our sins are infinitely drowned in the infinitude of Christ’s shed Blood and redemptive and salvific work on the Cross – that is, to deny the Divinity of Christ.

Writing Antipope Bergoglio off while he is still alive is PROFOUNDLY anti-Christian. Every Antipope with the regrettable exception of Antipope Anacletus II were deposed and corrected WHILE THEY STILL LIVED, precisely so that they could REPENT.

Antipope Bergoglio must not only REPENT, but also REVERT TO CATHOLICISM. None of the other Antipopes have had this massive sinful burden. Not anything like this. This isn’t political. This is anti-Catholic at its roots.
