Folks, it is very, very simple.
No one who knows, understands and believes in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, and in the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin could ever, ever, ever, under any circumstance whatsoever leave, much less even doubt for a second the truth of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
If I had one one thousandth the money a guy like Sean Hannity has, I’d build a chapel and have a priest in residence to offer the Holy Sacrifice daily, and men to chant the entire Divine Office every day, and set up an endowment for that to continue until Our Lord returns in Glory. AND HAVE IT ALL LIVE STREAMED. It’s a total no-brainer.
Hannity is on the record as rejecting the Church’s infallible (and infinitely CORRECT as if that needs saying) teaching on contraception.
My only question? When did Sean Hannity stop praying the Rosary daily? Or perhaps a better question would be: when did he start…?
Hear this now, folks: EVERY sex act, even within the context of sacramental marriage, that is contracepted, that is, that willfully thwarts the reproductive function, is NOT SEX, but an act of mortally sinful sodomy and/or masturbation. At BEST. If the “sex act” was not sexual, but sodomitical (oral, anal, or withdrawal) then the act is that of pure sodomy. Even between sacramentally married spouses.

A wife on the pill is engaging, along with her husband, in SODOMY even when they have vaginal sex, because they have totally thwarted, chemically, the SEXUAL function. Therefore the SEXUAL ACT is perverse in its end (telos) – it seeks as its end NOT the potential transmission of life, but only the orgasm of the spouses (with the orgasm of the male being paramount and defining), and thus isn’t SEX at all. It is masturbation. Sodomy. The sin of Onan.
And the thing about sin is that it makes people stupid, and blind to their own stupidity.
And one good, sincere sacramental confession could wipe it all away. Even to the worst priest in the world, because his ordination is SUPERNATURAL. That is how much Christ loves us.
Salvation. It can be, in a sense, so incredibly easy…. All you have to do is say you’re sorry, and MEAN IT. Legalistic gamers will only end up in a deeper pit of hell for all eternity.
Don’t you DARE go to confession and not mean EVERY WORD of what you confess. Ever. There is NOTHING WORSE than presuming upon God’s mercy. To do so is completely psychopathic. And it is the one UNFORGIVABLE sin, because it belies a total INDIFFERENCE to God, Our Lord, Incarnate, who died for our sins, personally. A total absence of love for Infinite Love Himself. Unforgivable.
“Ha-ha! Gotta love the sacraments! Off scott free YET AGAIN!” not only invalidates the filthy, scandalous Catholic’s confession, but digs their pit in hell deeper and all the more eternally agonizing. ETERNALLY. As in, the torment and separation will never, ever, ever end. Ever.
The deepest pits of hell are and will be occupied by Catholics- Catholics who were catechized and should have known better.
