Highly Recommended Movie: The Wizard of Heaven (The Life of St. John Vianney)

DO NOT send any emails complaining about the picture quality of this movie.  It is absolutely terrible – and I wept twice before the end, and NOT because of the picture quality.

In these extremely dark days, in which the Holy Priesthood is not only a victim of its own NovusOrdoist ignorant self-loathing, effeminate clericalism and outright attacks on the few remaining heterosexual priests that hold the Catholic Faith whole and entire, we all should be begging the intercession of the Curé of Ars, St. John Marie Vianney, a simple country priest of no great regard, who saved countless souls from the eternal fires of hell.

Remember, when a priest, even the lowliest priest, in Persona Christi, absolves mortal sin in the Sacrament of Confession, he does something even greater than THE CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE.  That’s right.  The next time you go to confession, add a quick reading of Genesis Chapter 1 to your pre-confession preparation.  Then you will understand why KNEELING is the proper physical attitude for a penitent in the confessional.  Raising a fallen rational intellect (a human being) from the death of mortal sin back to friendship with God is an intrinsically greater act than creating the physical universe. And EVERY VALIDLY ORDAINED CATHOLIC PRIEST is imbued with this charism and ability. Without exception.

And if absolving sinners in the confessional is an act greater than the creation of the physical universe, there are simply no words in this or any other language to describe the priestly dignity inherent to calling God Himself down upon the altar, effecting the transubstantiation of mere bread and wine into the actual, literal PHYSICAL SUBSTANCE of God – Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.

Would that it were that even 1% of priests today had ANY CLUE about what exactly it is that they are, and what they do – and actually believed it.

St. John Mary Vianney, pray for us.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us.

All Things, Visible and Invisible

Credo in unum Deum, Patrem omnipoténtem, factórem coeli et terræ, visibílium ómnium et invisibílium.

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things, visible and invisible.

This is the first sentence of the Nicene Creed.

I have a cool, albeit imperfect example, but I think it helps.

This example of something that was invisible to humans up until just within the past few decades is the geometricity of sonic resonance signatures.  I won’t waste time trying to explain it.  Watch this enthralling video of sand scattered upon a plate that can be vibrated at any sonic resonance frequency.  Look at what was and is always there, but was “invisible”.  How little we know.  How little we see.
