We need to cover a concept relating to Pope Francis and economics. Pope Francis stuck his papal foot in his papal mouth YET again last week when he basically mocked people who had sent him what is referred to as a "spiritual bouquet". Spiritual bouquets, for those of you who may have never heard the term, are when a group of people pray for another person and then send some sort of indication of the quantity of the prayers. For example, if a group of 100 people all commit to saying five rosaries each for a certain person, then the recipient would receive a "spiritual bouquet" of 500 rosaries - as opposed to a bouquet of 500 flowers.

Here is where the economics comes in. If you have seen my 8-part economics presentation on YouTube, you remember that I discussed the nature of money and how it is a proxy for a person's capacity to labor, produce and create. In order for a person to do any of those things, the person must pass through time, which is why wages are quoted as a function of time, either per hour or per year. Then we went through the exercise of converting the GDP and debt of the U.S. into man-hours, thus driving home the point that inflating a currency does NOT remove or dilute debt, because the underlying instrument, namely man-hours, is unchanging, no matter how many zeroes you put on the number designating the wage per hour.

A group of conservative Catholics in Argentina sent Pope Francis a spiritual bouquet after his election that consisted of 3525 rosaries, probably because Pope Francis specifically asked for people to pray for him. In remarks last week to a group of South American nuns, he cited this as an example of heresy (Pelagianism, which it isn't - Bergoglio clearly doesn't grasp what Pelagianism even is), and then cattily dismissed the people who offered him the spiritual bouquet and their prayers for him with the words, "Please, don't laugh." For those of you who claim that Pope Bergoglio has a robust Marian devotion, and a devotion to Fatima, you need to wake up. He laughed dismissively at the Rosary being said for him.

Let's assume that the Rosaries in this 3525 spiritual bouquet were all fifteen decades. It takes right at an hour to pray all 15 decades of the Rosary. That means that the spiritual bouquet represented just over 1.75 man-years. I use 2000 hours as the standard work-year.

Think about that. A group of people laid down a total of 1.75 man-years that could have been spent working and earning a wage or producing a commodity, and instead sacrificed that time in prayer for the pope - AT HIS SPECIFIC REQUEST. And then he laughed at them and called them heretics.

At every Mass lately I shudder at the following prayer after the consecration:

O Lord Jesus Christ, who saidst to Thine Apostles: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; look not upon my sins, but upon the faith of Thy Church; and deign to grant her that peace and unity which is in accord with Thy will: who livest and reignest God, world without end. Amen.

God is angry. Pope Francis is indeed the Pope of our Punishment.

If you know how bad the situation is and don’t feel the need to subject yourself to any more of my patented Barnhardt Phillipic and Funeral Dirge for Civilization, take your leave now, because I honestly think that this is the the saddest, most profoundly depressing post I have yet written.

And I’ve written a few.

A few thousand.

The topic is the US Dollar, and currency in general. The Federal Reserve has been willfully and systematically debasing the US dollar for a century by claiming that 2% inflation is the benchmark of a healthy economy. Since the universities and media have been overrun by Marxists, there is hardly anyone alive who A.) is in possession of the capacity to independently think and reason their way through such a question and B.) anyone who cares in the first place.

In addition to the slow grinding debasement by the Fed, the Marxists have finally fully usurped and overthrown the government of the United States, and thus have now executed the coup de grace: wild, flagrant money “printing”, and by “printing”, please understand that we are not talking about the fabrication of paper bills. We are talking about computerized entries into the Federal Reserve’s ledger. The Fed literally types in an addition of x billion or y trillion dollars into its balance sheet – creating dollars out of thin air that exist as zeroes and ones on a computer server – and then use those new dollars to purchase US Treasury bonds. In this way, the Obama regime and its puppetmasters have debased the US dollar by roughly one half the total GDP in less than four years. This iteration of both the United States and the US Dollar are over. There is no way to walk back the damage that the Obama regime has done. They have accomplished their mission, no matter what happens from this day forward.

After reading and reviewing my texts on monetary theory from Mises, Hayek, Friedman and contemporary economists including Denninger, I have come to a profound realization about money and the fiat vs commodity money (i.e. gold-backed currency) debate – and it bodes very, very poorly for us.

First, a few preliminary points.

1. Going to a gold standard will solve nothing. This is not to say that I don’t think that gold and silver are good wealth storage vehicles in this situation. To the contrary, I think they are excellent for these times. BUT, simply reverting to the gold standard, in and of itself, will not turn us around. We will, at some point, be FORCED to revert to the primordial commodity currency paradigm simply because our government and society will collapse, and thus our currency with it. If and when our culture rebuilds itself, if we remain as we are, the exact same problems that have arisen under the fiat money system will emerge again, even under a gold-backed currency.

So why has civilization, up until just within the last few decades, operated on commodity money systems, and why is it plausible to think that any fiat currency could ever have any legitimacy? The reason why civilization has used commodity money, namely gold and silver, up until just recently is because up until just recently, there was no way to instantly verify money held on deposit, or the existence of a line of credit. With computers and the internet, such instant checks are as common as breathing, blinking and walking. We don’t even think about it anymore. We go to the sandwich shop, get our sandwich, and in less than three seconds, the vendor has confirmed that we have funds, and then transferred those funds into his account. In the centuries and millennia past, people would load chests filled with gold coinage and jewels onto sailing ships and set out for distant lands. Why did they take their gold and jewels with them and risk losing that money to shipwreck or piracy? Because they had to take it with them. The only way to confirm your wealth to others was to physically possess it. Physical possession and spot exchange was also the only way to execute mercantile transactions. If we lose telecommunications and computing ability due to the successful detonation of an Electromagnetic Pulse weapon, or simply due to the total breakdown of society and the ability to maintain and power such systems, then indeed, this argument will become moot. BUT, so long as there is near-instant data transmission, commodity money will be theoretically optional (*with a qualifier to be addressed later in Part 3).

While we are looking at history, it bears mentioning that metals-backed currencies have not prevented other economic calamities. Just in the United States, the Great Depression of the 1930’s and the post-Civil War depression of 1873-1879, now called the Long Depression, which was actually caused by the manipulation of silver demand by the German Empire, were not magically prevented by metals-backed currency. Returning to a gold standard would not prevent recessions from happening. In fact, recessions are a necessary fact of economies, and serve to deflate bubbles and restore equilibrium. The only people who promise to eliminate economic recessions are Marxists, and that is because Marxists are liars. Just as all respiring beings on earth must both inhale and exhale, so too must economies. A person who perpetually inhaled would eventually burst their lungs and die. Conversely, a person who could only exhale would asphyxiate and die. But both actions, in a balanced, moderate cycle, are the definition of health. It is the same with economies: periods of expansion followed by a healthy, normal contraction that deflated any bubbles and restored equilibrium, thus setting up the next expansion phase.

2. Metals-backed currencies can be corrupted, too. There are two ways to corrupt a metals-backed currency, and it has happened many, many times throughout history. The first means pertains to coinage, and is to corrupt the metal itself with cheaper metals, such as zinc. The Roman denarius was debased from 4.5 grams of pure silver to less than one tenth of a gram of silver. Hyperinflation was the inevitable result, and the currency had to eventually be totally replaced.

The second means, which pertains to paper and electronic currency, is for the government to lie about the reserve quantity. This could either be done by explicitly lying about the number of ounces in storage, OR could be done by clandestinely issuing dollars to cronies of the oligarchy, which were NOT actually backed by any metal, and thus would be a de facto lie as to the supply. Since the people would be unable to demand a daily audit and reconciliation, the ability to police and reconcile the supply of metal and dollars would be impossible, and exactly the same things that are going on today, namely government looting of the Treasury and debasement of the currency, would continue apace.

The problem lies in our overtly criminal government, obviously, but also in the banking paradigm itself. Fractional reserve banking with unsecured lending has got to go. In the current banking paradigm, banks are required to keep from zero percent to ten percent (yes, that’s right, ZERO PERCENT) of customer deposits on hand as reserves, and loan the rest of the money out. If a customer deposits $100 in Bank A, $90 is lent out and $10 remains as reserve (and this is the CONSERVATIVE version). Whoever borrowed the $90 then deposits it in Bank B. Bank B then lends out $81 and keeps $9 in reserve. And so on, and so on. If you go through ten cycles this way, you end up with the original $100 being leveraged into $686.19 of deposits backed by only the original $100. This is what they call “money creation.” For you math buffs, this is a limit function. With a 10% reserve requirement on a $100 initial deposit sum, the limit terminates at $1000. With a 5% reserve requirement on $100, the limit terminates at $2000. With a zero percent reserve requirement, the limit is obviously infinite. A reasonable, non-zero reserve ratio is workable, but only so long as banks are required to carry one dollar of reserves for every one dollar they lend out. These reserves can be either in the form of the bank’s own capital, OR in the form of FAIRLY VALUED booking of the assets purchased with the loan. All unsecured lending must stop. This means that all home mortgages must be marked-to-market every single day, and if the home is worth less than the loan outstanding, the bank must post its own capital against the shortfall. This also means that credit cards, which are totally unsecured because they are used to purchase mostly non-assets, such as meals, gasoline, vacations and pure service commodities, must be backed by bank capital dollar-for-dollar. The bank could sell bonds to raise capital if it wants to make unsecured loans and then would be arbitraging the spread between the interest rate it must pay on the bonds and the interest rate plus default risk on the credit cards. In this way, the worst that could possibly happen, namely every unsecured credit line totally defaulting, would result in the bank owners and investors losing their money – but the customer deposits would be safe because all of the loans against hard assets, which would be properly valued and marked-to-market, could be sold to other banks in the market, and that revenue would fully cover all customer deposits.

In not posting capital against unsecured loans, the banks are indeed naked short selling our currency – and it matters not whether that currency is gold-backed or not. The credit card customer is promising to pay back (deliver) a loan with money that they do not have and does not exist, and they won’t be able to borrow. So, the bank and the customer together are colluding in the naked short sale. The long on the other side is the citizen and taxpayer who will subsidize the inevitable “need” to print more dollars to “bail out” both the bank and the customer. Taxes will be raised and the currency will be further debased, causing price inflation – a one-two punch to the citizen. This is EXACTLY what is happening to us today.

Well, the reality today is that banks are both writing massive quantities of unsecured loans and doing nothing on their side to balance the ledger, AND they are failing to honestly and realistically book the values of their hard-asset loans. The big banks are still booking home values at their original purchase price – not the fair market value today. Given the housing bubble, most mortgages today are underwater and are worth far, far less than the principal balance to say nothing of interest. This is why I say, echoing others, that the major banks in this country are not just totally insolvent, they are insolvent multiple times over. If the government wasn’t criminal and the favored banks of the oligarchs actually had to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, the entire system would implode into a singularity tomorrow.

And that brings us to the conclusion and actual point.

All of the stuff outlined above is all well and good to talk about, but as I was reading, including opposing thoughts from other schools, including the Austrian School which advocates full-reserve banking in some instances, namely demand deposits – a possibility to which I am not entirely opposed – I kept running into the 400 pound gorilla, which is silently acknowledged, but never really discussed, because the discussion would inevitably lead to talk of morality and thus . . . religion.

At the end of the day, any currency is backed not by physical commodities or a collective abstraction called “a government”. No. A currency is backed by the character and integrity of men that constitute the issuing nation or body. In short, WE ARE THE GOLD. We are the bearers of the “full faith and credit” which backs our Federal Reserve notes today. And that, dear readers, is why this country is not going to turn itself around anytime soon, and is almost certainly doomed in the short-run.

Every text I read over the last few days always included a very brief caveat that all of the preceding theory was, of course, contingent on a moral society with a functioning rule of law, honest regulation and a populace that was mostly honorable and trustworthy. This caveat was phrased differently in each instance, but it was always there, hanging over everything else like a fine mist. If you have a nation of moral degenerates, all bets are off. If the people are more dishonest than honest, and the government is nothing more than a mafia, then all economic systems and all postulations fly apart at the seams. If there is no rule of law, and if theft, graft and looting are the prevalent systems of economic activity, then no matter what your banking system, no matter what your currency – fiat or commodity-backed, your system and your economy will absolutely, positively fail eventually.

Sadly, that is where we are in this country. Sure, there are still good people, but as a percentage it isn’t even remotely enough to bear the burden of the massive moral degeneracy of the others. Even among those people who would never steal or loot, there is a decided lack of courage to stand up to those who do steal and loot. The MF Global confiscation proves this. People have mostly rolled over and accepted having their money stolen, shrugging their shoulders and telling themselves that there is nothing they can do – and then going back for more, continuing to patronize the very exchange that facilitated the theft and fraud. To my knowledge, only one broker has exited the field on purely moral grounds in a pre-emptive action to protect clients, and as a protest to the injustice of the system itself.

Our government is saturated with corruption, looting and outright treason and criminality, and yet most people simply cannot be bothered to care, much less to act, and are thus passively complicit. A non-trivial percentage of the population are planning and maneuvering to best “benefit” or profiteer from the criminality and fundamental dishonesty of the paradigm. Others are attempting to enter the oligarch class themselves under the guise of running for political office – and make no mistake, this encompasses both the so-called left and the so-called right on the political spectrum. The degeneracy is everywhere.

The fall of a society can happen very quickly. Our society has taken roughly 50 years to topple. If the previous example of the Russian culture is any example, we can expect it to take many multiples of 50 years to undo this damage, if and only if the pendulum has reached its maximum amplitude and now begins to swing back, which I fear has not yet happened. Morality cannot be legislated. Cultures cannot be purged of evil, selfishness and sloth overnight – even with a war. I cannot lie to you and tell you that short of Divine Intervention, this situation will resolve itself in any of our lifetimes. We had “it.” We had “it”, and we squandered “it”, and now “it” is gone, and no governmental, economic or monetary policy will get “it” back. “It” can only come from God, dwelling in the hearts of men, and God only comes to men if they specifically ask Him.

We, the people, always have been and always will be the ultimate backing commodity of our currency, because at its core, money is merely the representative device for a man’s capacity to produce and create. Dishonest men do not create or produce. They steal. Thus, the currency of a morally degenerated society is by definition degenerate itself. The currency of a degenerate society is the proxy not for a man’s ability to work and think, but rather a proxy for a man’s capacity to steal and evade work.

We used to be like gold – beautiful and warm. Now we are like pig iron – cold, brittle and good-for-nothing. And THAT is what constitutes the “full faith and credit” that backs the U.S. Dollar. So long as our culture remains degenerate, our currency can never be anything but spiraling, worthless trash.

If you forced me to distill everything that is wrong with this culture down to one word, to find one word that covered almost every sin in one fell swoop, it would be cowardice. I look at western civilization and I see cowardice EVERYWHERE. It is in the eyes and hearts of every adult. Its stench permeates everything.

First, the definition. Cowardice is, when you boil it down, total self-absorption. Cowardice is putting your own immediate and superficial desires above everyone and everything else. Cowardice is indifference to your fellow man, and to God, and as we have already established, indifference, not hate, but INDIFFERENCE is the opposite of love.

The coward cowers and fails to act because he puts himself first, thus breaking the two Great Commandments simultaneously: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and soul AND thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The coward gives both God and his neighbor the proverbial finger, pulls the covers over his head, and retreats into his own lint-filled navel, oftentimes rhetorically hiding behind the words “prudence” and “benignity”.

The word “Prudence” has been twisted by cowards into the lie that one should never act, but rather think and think and think ad infinitum until either they have talked themselves out of any action (which is always very easy to do) OR until someone else comes along and takes up the slack, thus making the question of their own action moot. In other words, STALLING.

Prudence is being able to discern the right, see the big picture and then DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. Many people think that they can “legally” dodge this by simply doing nothing. Ah, but they forget that to NOT act is to act, to NOT speak is to speak, to quote Bonhoeffer. It is impossible to avoid action, because inaction is itself an action. When prudence truly dictates that something MUST be said or done, inaction then becomes a sin, no matter how one might try to justify that inaction as prudence. That sin is called COWARDICE.

Benignity means “kindness”, which is not the same as “being nice” or even being liked. True kindness sometimes requires sternness, or even ferociousness. Ferocity is defined as "extreme intensity". If you walked into a kitchen and saw a three year old child just about to drink from a bottle of drain cleaner, would you not ferociously dive at the child yelling, “NO!” in order to save that child from poisoning and burning themselves? Anything less would be unthinkable. How could one react with silent paralysis to a child about to drink poison? How would that be kind? How would that be benign? It wouldn’t. It would be malignant malefaction devoid of prudence and charity, and utterly cowardly.

The other term that gets distorted by cowardice is “meekness”. The tragic coincidence that the word “meek” rhymes with “weak” in English has led many intellectually lazy people to believe very falsely that the words are synonyms. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Meekness is POWER UNDER CONTROL. Hence, Christ is perfectly meek, because as the Second Person of the Triune Godhead He is infinitely powerful, but yet so under control of His power that He freely chose to be crucified. An absolute monarch, powerful politician, powerful corporate executive, or law enforcement officer is called to meekness: power UNDER CONTROL. Power itself isn’t necessarily bad, as the absence of authority leads to anarchy and chaos. Power without the integrity of self-control is the problem. I think we can all agree that we have a serious, serious meekness deficiency in this culture, borne from cowardice, which recall is total self-absorption. A coward cannot be meek because a coward has no LEGITIMATE power to control in the first place. You hear me, Barack?

The reason we are in this mess, and the reason why I don’t see any indication of anything getting any better is because we are indeed a nation, and a civilization, of cowards. I see exactly ZERO willingness by anyone to offer any meaningful resistance to evil. I see zero willingness for anyone to do anything that might result in the least bit of discomfort, loss or material damage to themselves or their estate.

As an example, over the last couple of days I have been inundated with emails from people who remember the Mass before 1968, and they all say something very similar: When the changes came, we hated them and just KNEW that they were bad, bad news. We also KNEW which priests were gay, it wasn’t like they were trying to fool anyone.

My universal response to that is: WELL, WHY THE HECK DIDN’T YOU DO ANYTHING?

The answer is cowardice. People wanted to maintain their social standing, and so they chose the action of inaction. People wanted to just pull the blanket over their head, not get involved, and be considered “nice”. This is the ultimate self-absorption. If you people KNEW that the Church and the Mass were being profaned and you did NOTHING, then you will be held to account for that cowardice. You will be made to answer for the hundreds of millions, if not billions of human beings who were lost to hell because of the Marxist-homosexualist near-destruction of the Church and the Mass. You will be held to account for the horrific gutter dive that this culture has taken, because if the Novus Ordo Mass had been deep-sixed by the irate demand of the people before it ever got off the ground, this world would be a very, very different place. If the Marxist-homosexualists had never been allowed to rise to power by the silent assent of the cowardly people, God would still be shedding His grace on us, and tens of millions of dead babies would be very much alive today, and countless millions of people might not have been lost to hell.

This is why we, the people, are and will be punished by God - not just the psychopath politicians, banksters, oilgarchs and sodomites. This is why just war theory permits actions that can involve civilian casualties and destruction of non-state property. THE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR GOVERNMENT. And no one is more responsible for their government, no one is more complicit in the sins of their state than the poeple whose organizational document begins with the words, "We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union ...."

Every time I hear someone say, “Well, I can’t DO THAT. I can’t SAY ANYTHING. I can’t stop paying taxes. I can’t get crossways with the IRS. I can’t cancel my cable. I can’t get on my boss’s bad side. I can’t jeopardize my job. I can’t jeopardize my reputation. I can’t jeopardize my income. I can't jeopardize my pension. You just don’t understand. I just CAN’T,” I have just one question in response. It is very easy, and only requires a single number is response – not even words. Just one number. The question is, exactly how many human souls are you content to see lost in exchange for your personal comfort and ability to navel-gaze uninterrupted? I need a number. No prose. No bee-ess excuses. Just a number. If you are willing to admit that you are willing to see a billion people lost, then say it. If you’re willing to see 3.5 billion people lost, then say it. If you’re willing to see the entire surface population minus yourself lost, then say it. But don’t bee-ess me by saying “zero” and then cowering in fear and refusing to so much as lift a finger or say ONE WORD in the face of this evil.

Fish or cut bait, people.

Do you know why Ayn Rand (Alisa Rosenbaum was her real name) became an atheist? Do you know why that clearly intelligent woman became so utterly convinced that there was no God? It is because she witnessed the revolting, repellant cowardice of the Russian Orthodox clergy in Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution. Seeing those men capitulate to evil in order to save their own skins was so abhorrent to behold that young Alisa became convinced that there was no way that the church or the God worshiped in that church could possibly be real or true. It was the observation of cowardice that drove her into atheism, and then into her own sad life of sin and self-centeredness, all in the name of “rational self-interest” and “happiness”.

Human beings are hard-wired to loathe and shun the coward. There is no character trait that is more universally and instantly repellant to both males and females than cowardice. It takes massive brainwashing to overcome this most visceral of human responses. Why is this?

From the female perspective, a woman identifies and rejects the coward because the coward will not protect her. The coward will abandon her and their children. So how is it that any inner city black man today gets laid? Because the Marxists have brainwashed the black culture into embracing male cowardice. The men are given false substitutes in the form of sports and gangs (because nothing is more GAY than running around in a shirt with another man’s name emblazoned across it), and the women are trained by the rap/hip-hop culture to expect to be used and abandoned as mere masturbation vectors. And when conception actually happens, we have the ultimate act of cowardice to fall back on: abortion.

From the male perspective, cowardice is repellant because it is the coward who will either betray you, or fail to come through and get both of you killed. Judas Iscariot was the biggest coward in history. Read John 6. When Jesus told the huge crowd of disciples about the Eucharist, that they would literally have to eat His Flesh and drink His Blood to have His Life within them, they all freaked out and got up and left. Judas was humiliated at being associated with Jesus from that moment forward. He was livid that the potential revenue stream of thousands of followers was drying up. He was livid at the loss of power that he was watching as a member of Jesus’ inner circle of apostles. He thought Jesus was going to overthrow both the Herodian dynasty and the Roman occupation and that he, Judas, would be made a prince. When Jesus revealed the Eucharist to the people and they all left, Judas, self-centered and desperate for worldly wealth, power and approval, which is to say an abject coward, decided at that moment, purely because of the Eucharist, to betray Christ.

But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who he was, that would betray him. John 6:65.

Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil? Now he meant Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon: for this same was about to betray him, whereas he was one of the twelve. John 6:71-72.

At this point, I am sadly reminded of the priests and bishops in the U.S. who have betrayed and continue to betray Christ because they are embarrassed by Him and His Truth, livid at Him for getting in the way of the government revenue stream, and humiliated and ashamed of the Eucharist itself. Oh, to be a fly on the wall at a Georgetown party when Joe Biden or John Kerry sidles up to Archbishop So-and-So, leans in close, smiles wryly and says, “You don’t actually believe that a cracker and a shot of wine turns into God, do you?”

If the coward doesn’t betray you outright to your enemies, he will at the very least fail to come through in combat, and get you both killed. To my eye, that covers pretty much everyone else. Even the clergy and people who are not Marxists are paralyzed and give every indication that they cannot be relied upon to march into combat. Some even hiss their contempt at courageous men in the hopes that God won’t recognize their cowardice if He has no courageous contemporaries to compare them to. I believe the technical term for that is “relativism.” Or perhaps they feel that they will be able to talk their way out of their sin by claiming “prudence” or “benignity.”

Yes, let’s just stall and hope and pray that someone comes along who will take up our slack and do the right, do that which we are too chicken* to do.

Read this until you get it. Unless and until you people man up and stop cowering in fear, unless and until you fully understand that the only way you can possibly win is being willing to lose everything, up to and including your life, the outcome is utterly certain: evil will triumph. You and your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will live and die under satanic totalitarian rule. Yes, Christ will win in the end, but as billions of human beings before you would happily remind you, Jesus returning in glory to grease all the bad guys before you die IS NOT A GIVEN.

Cowardice is a sin. Courage is a virtue. Man up and take care of business. For the love of God.

Because bravery and cowardice are a zero-sum game. When a man cowers, he isn't just merely shielding himself from danger and nothing more. If men stand up early on, the suffering will be minimized because it will be spread over many people. The worst that might happen is that some folks go to bed scared for a while, but widespread bravery will allow good to prevail without much suffering. If, however, there is a decided lack of courage displayed by a large group or society early on in an advance by the powers of evil, that aggregated courage requirement will be borne by a relative few at a later time. The longer this goes on, the worse it will be for the few who have to bear the weight of the cowardice of the broad society.

So, why am I so mouthy right now? Simply put, because I don't want your son to end up laying on some city street with his legs blown off by a Marxist-Islamist-Obamaist RPG bleeding to death because he had to shoulder my personal failure in courage. Got it? That is all.

I just want to make sure that you understand the real dynamics here. I think a lot of people are looking at all of this and not getting terribly upset because they tell themselves, "I have nothing to hide. My books are pristine. The IRS (or whoever) isn't going to find anything if they audit me."

Yeah, I used to think that way too. Back when I was young and naive and stupid and hadn't yet realized that the rule of law was dead, and that we were living under a totalitarian oligarchy of psychopaths.

Guys, the IRS knows that you all are square on your taxes. That isn't the point. Heck, when they audited me for 18 months from 2011-2012, the results showed that I had OVERPAID (but sorry, the amendment window is closed - too bad for you, Ann.)

The point is putting a business owner, non-profit, or even an individual or couple through an audit in order to PUNISH THEM WITH MASSIVE ACCOUNTANT AND ATTORNEYS FEES.

When your CPAs and attorneys bill at $250 per hour per man, the IRS or some other agency or corrupt regulatory body knows that it can destroy you simply by incurring the massive expense of an audit on you.

THAT is the point of this stuff. For a small business owner who is operating on a thin margin to begin with, an audit can EASILY wipe out in excess of an entire year's profits JUST ON THE BILLING HOURS from the CPAs and lawyers. The same goes for a start-up non-profit.

That is textbook mob-style intimidation.

In fact, I think a more apt term would be SOVIET.

My advice? If they come after you DO NOT involve your CPA or lawyers. That's exactly what they are counting on you to do. Like all totalitarian regimes, they want you to dig your own grave before they murder you. Man up and refuse. Stand and face them.

Q: I want to know little bit more about what you think is wrong with today's Mass when it involves really fun music. If there is a problem there within the modern Mass that causes us to worship in an incorrect way, I'd like to explore it. A: First, the "Tea Party" has nothing to do with it.

Second, this question totally nutshells and demonstrates how much the Church has been infiltrated and pushed up against the gates of hell in the last 50 years. The fact that this good chap is even ASKING this question is proof in and of itself that something is terribly, terribly, terribly wrong.

The Mass, which we all need to start referring to properly as "The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass" in order to help us remember, is truly, literally CALVARY. God manipulates time such that the singular event of Calvary, which is now just over 1980 years ago on the linear timeline, is made to intersect and touch today at every Mass. Imagine you are holding a piece of string or a shoelace. The shoelace is TIME. Since the singular event of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord is the "center" of time, meaning that all events both before and after will be reconciled to it, let's say that the midpoint of the shoelace is the singular event of Calvary in AD 33. Pinch your left fingers on that spot on the shoelace and hold it. Now, with your right hand, pinch the shoelace somewhere several inches to the right of Calvary. Let's call that point today, June 3, AD 2013. If you go to Mass today, the June 3, AD 2013 point on the timeline will be looped back over the altar at the Consecration of the Host and Chalice such that the two points in time touch each other. You can do this with your shoelace. Take your right hand, still grasping the 6/3/2013 spot and make a loop back to the left. Then, pinch BOTH the Calvary spot and the 6/3/2013 point in your left hand so that they are touching each other.

Fascinating aside. Albert Einstein, whenever he would see a Catholic priest, would stop him and ask the priest questions about the Eucharist. Do you see why? Because Einstein, atheist though he was, knew that time was not linear, and had an inkling that the non-linear nature of time was somehow a dynamic in the Mass and the Eucharist.

We see biblical confirmation of this in John 12:32 :

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to Myself.

And that is EXACTLY what He does. He draws all things to Himself through TIME. Every day, every action of every person is now drawn through time and reconciled to Calvary. Go back to your shoelace. Pull the right end of the lace so that the loop is smaller. That's yesterday. Now pull the loop out so that it is bigger. That's tomorrow. We don't have to wait until the end of time to reconcile ourselves to Christ Crucified. In His infinite mercy, He established the Mass so that we could be physically present at Calvary at minimum once per week (per the Third Commandment) or as often as daily.

Which brings us back to the question. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is CALVARY, PHYSICALLY PRESENT. Jesus Christ hangs before us, scourged until He is essentially skinned, in shock from massive blood and fluid loss, and NAILED TO A CROSS, asphyxiating, naked, and all of this is happening in order to make it possible for YOU, PERSONALLY, to be redeemed and saved. Your Father, your Brother, your Divine Spouse, your Creator, your Savior and your Best Friend is DYING right in front of you IN YOUR STEAD because He loves you.

And you ask me why it is that maybe we shouldn't be rocking out and having "fun" at Mass? You ask me why it is that the whole notion of superfun entertainment-driven Masses make me red-faced with contempt and disgust? It's because HE IS RIGHT THERE DYING FOR US. Get on your knees and PRAY. BEG HIM to have mercy on you, a sinner. BEG His forgiveness for all of the sacrilege. This one is going to be hard to top. It's just so macho. This is a video that came across my desktop of a Corpus Christi procession yesterday. Now remember, Our Lord is PHYSICALLY PRESENT in the monstrance on the float under the canopy. This is truly a royal procession, and the King is Jesus Christ, again, REALLY PHYSICALLY PRESENT. Here's the story on this, which I recommend for all young people out there who are setting up a home. Go on eBay and buy super-cheap antique china in used, incomplete sets. My china was actually two seperate incomplete sets that complemented each other beautifully. I got them for a song, they looked great, were used as daily drivers, and even put into the dishwasher. You can TOTALLY put china in the dishwasher - the only rule is that if there is gold or platinum decoration (mine both have gold decoration) you cannot use the heated dry setting on the dishwasher, but I NEVER used the heated dry setting anyway, so it was a non-issue. China is very strong, beautiful and practical, and used, incomplete sets (generally antique) are about the same price as new ceramic sets, and look like a million bucks.

So there's my little home decor tip.

I did this interview with a young homeschooler, 17 year old Elijah Johnson. Great kid, and a great interviewer. In the continued spirit of fulfilling my apparent vocation of being the person who faces and then clearly explains the unpleasantries of life, let's have a little talk about Pope Francis.

The incident precipitating this essay happened last week, but this has been building for a while. Pope Francis has acquired the habit of saying daily Mass in a chapel on the grounds of the Vatican (and, of course, the chapel is ugly, often described as looking like a particularly cheap set piece from the original Star Trek series, because, you know, ugliness equals poor and dazzlingly humble, or something … don't get me started).

In these near-daily Masses, Pope Francis has been delivering what are being called "sermonettes". They are delivered off-the-cuff, and are breathlessly reported by the global press after being picked up from the original reportage by the Vatican Press Office. And, as is expected, and as is very easy to do, the press sensationalizes Francis' words and frequently scandal and error regarding Church teaching is the result. Last week Francis made headlines with one of his sermonettes that was widely interpreted as implying the possibility of salvation for atheists qua atheists through good works.

Double facepalm.

Believe it or not, the point of this piece is NOT to pillory the press. In fact, I will offer a defense of the press, which even I am having a hard time getting my head around. Here's the deal. Pope Francis, while the Vicar of Christ gloriously reigning, is not a terribly bright man. What brings Jorge Maria Bergoglio's intellectual shortcomings into even starker relief is the fact that his predecessor, Benedict XVI Ratzinger is not only a bona fide genius, but also … still alive. Francis is a mediocre intellect, poorly educated, and a member of an order (the Jesuits) that is so far-gone that it should be suppressed. Layer on top of this the generation of which Francis is a product: perhaps the most godless, evil, blind generation in human history, and add in the fact that while being poorly educated in the age of the hippy, he has also lived his entire life in South America, which has been more steadily and overtly influenced by Marxism, both in the secular world as well as in the Church, than either Europe or North America over the last fifty years.

Jorge Maria Bergoglio is the first "affirmative action" pope - which is a different thing entirely from nepotism. The College of Cardinals, again, not exactly a collection of the smartest men in the world - remember Tracksuit Timmy Dolan, dinner host of antichrists and celebrant of "gay" Masses, a man whose capacity for intellectual nuance is on par with a box of hair, is not only a cardinal, but the head of the U.S. Bishop's conference - went into the conclave wanting to elect not the best man, not the brightest intellect, not the most competent manager. No. The criteria were racial and geographical. "Um, we need to have a pope from the Western Hemisphere. We need to have a pope from a Spanish-speaking country. We need to make the Latinos feel good and keep the Latino money flowing, because they are the only ones not contracepting themselves into extinction."

And, if this culture of stupidity persists, then mark my words: they will elect a black African next time for no other reason than "affirmative action".

Now, back to Francis' sermonettes, and defending the press. There is a tremendous uproar on the internet with people cursing the Vatican Press Office for not releasing the full transcripts of Francis' sermonettes but instead only piecemeal summaries consisting of brief quotes from Francis with press-written prose between the quotes to give context. "Give us the full transcripts!"

The reason they aren't releasing the full transcripts is because Francis' sermonettes are so rambling, so incoherent and sometimes so embarrassing in their delivery (verbal ticks like, "eh?" and "right?") that the Vatican Press Office is trying to protect both Francis and the dignity of the Holy See by taking Francis' stream-of-consciousness rhetorical sausage and presenting it as something that could maybe pass as steak. And remember, we are coming off of the pontificate of Ratzinger, who was and is a rhetorical genius, and who routinely delivered not just steak, but super-prime rhetorical filet mignon with the care and precision of speech that one would expect from the Vicar of Christ - and even then could still be quoted out of context or have his words twisted by the press and the world.

While some people might shallowly claim to love Francis' "down-to-earth style", the events of last week in particular brought to the fore why it is that Francis needs to be "sat down" and told in no uncertain terms that he MUST stop these rambling sermonettes. When you are the Pope, the Vicar of Christ, the head of the Magisterium of the Church, the world will hang on your every word, both for good and for ill. Obviously, good Catholics are interested in what the successor to Peter has to say. Conversely, the Enemy and all of his minions are looking to pounce of every single opportunity for scandal and confusion. Rambling, off-the-cuff sermonettes are fertile, fecund soil in which to cultivate scandal and confusion. That is what happened last week. Francis' rhetorical slop resulted in countless atheists becoming convinced that they could go to heaven so long as they occasionally do good works. It also resulted in scandal as many Protestants who subscribe to the Lutheran "sola fide" (faith alone) heresy were given a huge bit of ammunition with which to confuse and seduce the ignorant, uncatechized Catholics, which is to say 99.99999% of modern Catholics.

We are indeed saved by faith, but faith without works is dead. But, what Francis either doesn't understand or was negligent in not making clear, is that good works without faith are without merit. What Francis' bumbling sermonette slop last week implied, and was splashed all over the planet within minutes, was that works alone could somehow save atheists qua atheists. I don't know if Pope Francis actually believes that - it is possible given that he is indeed a hippy Jesuit from South America. I cannot over-emphasize how poorly educated and contra-educated these people are. The point is that he isn't sharp enough to ANTICIPATE the reaction to his words, and then rhetorically pin-down any loose ends so that there can be little to no confusion. A speaker who covers all of his bases and essentially rebuts and answers all questions before they can even be asked is said to be "shooting in a tight circle". Francis does not shoot in a tight circle. Francis lacks the self-awareness to realize that he is NOT a rhetorical genius, and thus the humility to just … not speak, which is generally good advice for any Pope. Say as little as possible, Holy Father. Additionally, he also lacks the self-awareness to recognize the scandal that he causes both among the faithful and those outside the Church.

Christ's death made the salvation of all men POSSIBLE. It did NOT accomplish the salvation of all men. Every person beyond the age of reason must cooperate with the salvific work of Christ through FAITH. The fruit of that faith will then be works, upon which we will all be judged. The atheist, by definition, has zero faith and relishes in the fact that he has zero faith. The atheist has positively, proactively embraced the position that God Himself does not exist. Ratzinger has written that the foundational premise of charity (caritas, love) is happiness at the fact of the existence of another. "I am happy that you exist." That statement is the essential beginning of charity. The atheist rejects the existence of Goodness Himself, of Love Himself, which is a complete rejection of faith. Thus, no matter how many good works an atheist performs, so long as he remains faithless, rejecting the very existence of Goodness and Love, there is no way he can be saved. And, as a corollary, since the Church is both the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ making the two "one flesh", and since Christ is the Second Person of the Triune Godhead, the Church Triumphant (heaven) is actually extant INSIDE of God (John 17). Thus, there is no salvation outside of the Church. Spes Unica.

Pope Benedict just finished a huge theological and liturgical war over correcting the words of consecration of the Precious Blood in the Novus Ordo (new) Mass. The Marxist-sodomite infiltrators in the 20th century succeeded in changing the phrase "which shall be shed for you and for many" (pro multis) to "for all" (pro omnes). This was clearly wrong, and is why Pope Benedict corrected it, thanks be to God. If Christ's salvific work applied to all men in fact, instead of in potentiality, then men are nothing more than chessmen or toys in the eyes of God. Our lives and our decisions have no meaning. Do what you want. Sin boldly (as Herr Psychopath Luther said.) You're saved. You are a saved object. And at that point, can God really be happy that you exist, when He doesn't even care whether or not you love Him, whether or not you sin (stop and think about that) or care whether or not you even believe that He Himself exists?

This is wrong. Christ said, "for you and for many" precisely because He loves us, is happy that we exist as created individuals, and thus gifts us with the sovereignty to a.) believe that He exists in the first place and then b.) to freely choose to love Him. The freedom to reject Him is the ultimate proof set of His love for us. If Christ had actually said, "for you and for all" then He would be nothing more than a strong-arm dictator and we would be nothing more than mindless drones that He created for His purely selfish amusement. Francis' sloppy little sermonette just undid a massive amount of the good work that Pope Benedict did in regards to this profoundly important and temporally relevant issue. This is why Francis, even if he 100% sound on these questions in his own mind, is STILL doing terrible harm. When you are the Pope, the game changes. You haven't merely been transferred from being the leader of the diocesan community of Buenos Aires to being leader of the diocesan community of Rome. You are the Vicar of Christ. Humility DEMANDS that you recognize this ... and tremble.

Re-read that last paragraph and then ask yourself why it is that Marxist infiltrators would be so insistent upon pushing the "for all" mistranslation. Then, ask yourself if the false description of God as a "strong-arm dictator" using humans as mindless drones for His amusement sounds like any other political system. Ah, indeed. It is basically a description of the musloid political system, isn't it? This is why we need to be building walls, not bridges. Big, enormous walls.

Now, to historical precedence. Pope John XXII (22nd) reigned from AD 1316 to AD 1334. Pope John made a theological mistake in an informal sermon he delivered in a private papal chapel. (Sound familiar?) Pope John said that no one will enjoy the Beatific Vision (heaven) until after the General Judgment. This is flatly wrong, and there was a huge uproar by theologians and the laity when he said this. A group of theologians wrote a stern rebuttal letter, told the Pope, gloriously reigning, that he needed to sit down and shut his gob on this question until such time as he was able to recant in writing, because he was wrong, and his little off-the-cuff sermon in the private papal chapel in the 14th century was freaking everyone out and causing intolerable confusion and scandal. Pope John XXII did indeed issue a written correction, and his successor, Pope Benedict XII (12th) promptly promulgated the apostolic constitution Benedictus Deus which once and for all corrected John XXII's mistake. And thus we see from this episode that papal infallibility does NOT extend to informal sermons made by the Pope in daily Mass. But then, we already knew that.

Finally, just a word to all of you effeminate ninnies out there gnashing your teeth over how mean I am, and how it isn't nice to say anything bad or in criticism as such a NICE man as Pope Francis, who always gives you such a warm, fuzzy feeeeeeeeling whenever you see him on teevee. Darn right I'm mean. It's called zeal. It's called courage. And despite what some people think, it is something that is supposed to INCREASE if one is indeed drawing nearer to God. If one actually reads what the prayers of the Mass really say each day, a constant theme all year long, but especially around Pentecost, is the begging of God to ever increase our zeal and to save us from lukewarmness. Come, Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love! Dear God, please never permit me to "calm down". This effete sentimentality, if not curbed, will be the death of us all.

Humility means "honesty". It doesn't mean physical poverty. It doesn't mean false modesty. It means having the gift of self-awareness such that one can see one's own strengths and *especially* faults. Pope Francis is not a good speaker. If he truly wants to embrace humility, he will stop the confusion and scandal that are coming from his excessive extemporaneous talks, will work doubly hard on making certain that any written texts he either publishes or reads verbatim are not only sound, but also well-written and constructed, especially since this is AD 2013, not AD 1330, and every word the Pope speaks can now be instantly transmitted all over the world. I strongly suspect that Pope John XXII would concur enthusiastically.

Does this all mean that everything Pope Francis says is wrong? Of course not! But, it does mean that we should expect more of these types of incidents, and be able to parse them accordingly. Let's take off the rose-colored glasses and face facts. He isn't a Ratzinger and never will be. Not even close. Thus, these sermonettes must not be assigned the kind of gravity that even the most casual of Ratzinger's remarks merited.

I have written on this before, but it has been a couple of years, and since my posts disappear into the void forever after falling off the bottom of this 80 post page, I'll just write it up again. Even within the last two years, the inroads made by the satanic sodomite culture have been staggering. And sadly, typically, no one seems able to make any sort of intelligent, informed response to the satanic sodomite propaganda. "That doesn't go there," while a pithy and witty enough retort in a Dorothy Parker sort of way to the sins of Sodom, does exactly nothing to genuinely explain WHY the sins of Sodom cry out for God's vengeance and cannot be tolerated in a culture that expects to survive, much less to actually help the people who are ensnared within them. The fact that the Church, the one body on earth tasked with standing in the breach between the satanic sodomite forces and leading the defense against their relentless, unceasing bayonet charge … has itself been massively infiltrated by sodomites just makes the situation all the more grave.

First, we have to understand the origins of same-sex attractions, because one of the major weapons being used by the satanic sodomite hordes is the lie that the origins are genetic, and thus on par with race. This is total, complete, utter nonsense. There is no "gay gene" any more than there is a "bestiality gene" or a "necrophilia gene" or a "rape gene". The satanic sodomite hordes are masterful at using the profound stupidity and total lack of critical thinking skills of the modern western mind, and know that all they need do is publish and spread the gay gene lie, and the average mush-brained American will eat it up. Nevermind anything like, oh, you know, EVIDENCE. Nah. Yes, that's right. The entire world is being sent careening down the latrine with zero resistance largely because a bunch of stupid, insecure, middle-aged women like being lied to about their looks, and the men are all too flaccid and emasculated to tell the "Kathys" of the world to SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP.

There are two broad classes of the origins of same-sex attractions. The first is sexual abuse in childhood itself. Interestingly, childhood sexual abuse may actually be the easier origin to correct in adulthood. An adult who was raped as a child can actually have an easier time getting their head around and correcting the psychological disorders that came from their childhoods. Childhood rape victims also tend to be less "flamboyant" in their carriages and comportments as adults and tend to fit well into healthy gender roles ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS. The women tend to be feminine, not butch, and the men tend to be nominally masculine, not flamers.

Let's start with a female childhood rape victim. Did you know that in excess of 95% of female strippers and "exotic dancers" in the U.S. today were raped by men as children - with the vast majority having been raped by their mothers' boyfriends and husbands? Did you also know that the incidence of lesbianism amongst female strippers is massive? These girls are very feminine, obviously. The descent of these women into the world of the sex trade, specifically dancing, is, for them, about having power over their abuser. When they are on stage, they are in charge and they are, in a sense, dominating the men. The lesbianism is a manifestation of the deep-seated fear and mistrust of men in any truly intimate context, spurred on by the fact that they are immersed in a world of sexual perversion to begin with.

A guy worked in my office years ago who was a big-time Democrat, and presented himself as this super-pious Catholic, even teaching catechism classes in the biggest parish in Denver. One day a stripper showed up that one of his equally hypocritical clients had sent him for his birthday and he happily opened all of his blinds in his office so that all of the people outside eating lunch could see this girl strip completely naked and grind her genitals on his pelvis for ten minutes. I wonder how old that girl was the first time her mother's boyfriend slipped into her bedroom and felt her up. Seven? Eight? I wonder if she knew what was happening the first time she was orally or digitally raped. But you know the question that still haunts me?

I WONDER WHAT HER NAME IS.

Boys who are abused tend to likewise turn into fairly normal-looking, nominally masculine men. Their pathology is, again, centered around sexual power and domination. True pedophiles, that is to say men attracted to pre-pubescent little boys, are almost never "swishing, flaming" homosexuals. The guys at the hair salon or the florists probably aren't into little boys - they like men and probably sexually mature teenagers - more on that is a second. That is one of the big misconceptions in this culture and why true pedophiles have such an easy time victimizing children. There is a misconception that pedophiles are swishy, and they aren't. They are masculine and are looking to sexually dominate a child the same way that they were sexually dominated when they were children. Many true pedophiles are married with children themselves and are never suspected in their communities until they are caught.

And yes, this sexual abuse dynamic is basically THE driver behind every islamic culture on the planet. It is just a massive cycle of man-boy rape perpetuated for 1400 years, and yes, this absolutely helps explain why musloid men are all suicidal, homocidal, sexually perverted satanic rage monsters. Getting raped on a regular basis from the age of four will do that.

Now on to the more complex psychological genesis of same-sex attractions: self-loathing. This tends to be the domain of children and teenagers who are of above-average intelligence and are thus more acutely self-aware and emotionally sensitive. It can begin quite early in childhood, depending on the intelligence level of the child. The smarter the child, the earlier "the lights come on" and memories and emotional patterns start being laid down in the brain. For some people this happens very early - before the age of five. For some, it barely happens at all. Deep emotional sensitivity and self-criticality literally never happens for many people. They go through their lives largely unencumbered by feelings of angst, self-doubt, lack of confidence or navel-gazing. I view this as a tremendous mercy in God's Providence. He gives each of us what we will need in order to live up to the potential He plans for us. If it is not God's will that a man be a "welder", God does not shoulder that man with an "arc welder" that he has to carry around on his back. The question always is, are we living up to our God-given potential and using the gifts that He has given us? If our gifts are acute emotional sensitivity, above average intelligence OR a strong back and a love of manual labor, are we maximizing those gifts and traits to the glory of God?

Here is where things can go wrong. An intelligent, emotionally sensitive child can begin obsessively comparing himself or herself to their peers. Children with physical abnormalities are especially vulnerable to this: short, tall, fat, skinny, birthmarks, glasses, pigeon-toed or turned-out feet, severe overbite or underbite, etc. But really, even children who are average and even above-average can always find an example of the the boy who is just a bit more athletic, or the girl who is just a bit prettier. The bottom line is, the child, and then the adult, looks in the mirror and does NOT see the perfect human ideal (for simplicity's sake let's call that "Brad Pitt" and "Grace Kelly") staring back at them, and thus they become hyper-critical of themselves which easily morphs into self-loathing. Then, the jealous, envious fixation on the "Brad Pitt" for boys and the "Grace Kelly" for girls becomes an obsession. When puberty kicks in and testosterone gets added to the stew, with not a little help from the whispers of demons who are always lurking and see little Jimmy and Little Susie staring at themselves in the mirror and then bursting into tears, the envious obsession with the exotic "Brad Pitt" becomes the EROTIC obsession with "Brad Pitt".

Now our boy, Jimmy, is desirous of sexual congress with "Brad Pitt" because he thinks that if he gets close enough to "Brad Pitt" that he will TURN INTO BRAD PITT. Homosexuals in this psychological category are more likely to be EPHEBOPHILES, which is to say attracted to pubescent teenagers, because they get stuck in their adolescence and want to go back in time to junior high and high school and mount a conquest of the boy or girl present at the time of their onset of sexual feelings. Almost all of the priests who are child abusers fall into this category: homosexual men chasing after the cool teenaged boy in an attempt to relive and re-feel their own teenage years. This is VERY typical among effeminate homosexual men. This is also a common story among the lesbian gym teacher and girls basketball coach predator set. Sexual congress between a man and wife is all about giving one's self totally to the other as a GIFT. The marital act is saying, "I want the two of us to be one person. I don't want to cease to exist. I don't want you to cease to exist. I want both of us to come together and be one unit in the eyes of God." This, of course, actually happens in the transmission of life. A child is the two people combined. This also serves as a great criterion by which you can know if you should be discerning marriage with someone. Are you desirous of seeing what the combination of your DNA with the other person's would look like? In other words, do you want to have kids with that person - even if that is physically impossible due to age? If the answer is "nope, not interested", you need to end any romantic association with that person, and certainly not get married.

If you hate yourself, you cannot, by definition, give yourself as a gift to anyone. The sodomite either hates the partner and seeks only physical domination and a sense of power over the partner (the victims of childhood rape), OR he self-loathes and wishes only for sexual congress so that he might "consume" the partner and thus replace himself. There is no such thing as healthy perversion. There is no such thing as benign sodomy. Even if both partners consent the act itself feeds dangerous, destructive psychological neuroses that will effect and DESTROY the broad culture like a metastasizing cancer.

This is why sodomites tend to be so promiscuous. They are looking for each sex partner to "transform" them, and every morning when they wake up and look in the mirror and have not been transformed into someone else and are still themselves, they become disillusioned and eventually hostile towards the sex partner who failed to transform them. This is why homosexual men are the most promiscuous class of human by orders of magnitude. This is why the per capita incidence of domestic battery is highest among lesbians. Ask any cop and they will tell you that lesbians just beat the tar out of each other.

I marvel at "libertarians" who claim that no government has the right to enforce any laws with regards to sexuality whatsoever. Are you morons blind? St. Theodore Stratelates. Military man. Martyr. He was a general under the emperor Licinius who was persecuted for being a Christian. He was a total man. You people have got to stop living in fear. You cannot win if you are constantly trying to play defense and refuse to ever, ever, ever make any offensive moves. Just stop and think about it. How can an army that takes NO offensive tactical measures ever win a war?

3. General strike / work stoppages

This comes after the mass tax strike, not before, because it is collaterally harmful to the public. But let's be frank, you people can't even cancel your cable feed, so why bother talking about this?

4. Armed resistance and counter-revolution

This would require executing tactics one through three first, and a modicum of masculinity in the culture, so ... yeah. I'm not holding my breath. So long as the flickerbox is pumping the agitporn, and so long as Mickey D's is slinging the burgers and Coke, Amerika will be sated.

I'm sorry, but having a fun outing wherein a bunch of people get together, do a fun activity, eat yummy food, socialize, say a prayer or two, and then distribute t-shirts proudly proclaiming that "WE RODE OUR BIKES THROUGH ESTES PARK AND THEN HAD A PICNIC ... TO END ABORTION" is frankly narcissistic to the point of being nauseating.

When the angel in the Third Secret of Fatima is screaming "Penance, Penance, Penance!" while waving a massive sword of fire, he isn't talking about having a bike ride, a movie night, a "march" followed by a fabulous 2.5 hour lunch, a softball game, a potluck dinner or a bakesale. Angel, with ASSAULT WEAPON, using said assault weapon to expel Adam and Eve from the Garden. I would recommend getting oneself familiarized with the idea of angelic beings with weapons, and using them on people. That is what it is going to take to make this satanic death spiral stop. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, along with the rest of the regime players, murdered Ambassador Chris Stevens. It was a hit. It wasn't incompetence. It wasn't deer-in-the-headlights collective inaction. It wasn't a kidnapping plot gone wrong. It was a hit.

The whole incompetence argument is simply the domain of moral and intellectual cowards who insist upon seeing the world through rose colored glasses and deny objective reality. My contempt for these people knows no bounds. It's one thing to be stupid. It is quite another to be a coward. Cowardice is a pure moral choice. This is why courage is the fruit of the Third Sorrowful Mystery (the crowning with thorns). If courage was a genetic phenotype, as baseline intelligence largely is (as opposed to willful ignorance), then Our Lord would not desire that we pray for the grace of courage every day. Show me someone arguing that the Obama regime is incompetent and I'll show you a quivering little coward.

Next is the whole "kidnapping plot gone wrong" argument. Sorry. It doesn't hold water. First, the theory that Obama wanted to do a prisoner exchange of Ambassador Stevens for the Blind Sheik right before the election in order to look like some sort of hero is simply ludicrous. Americans would have been repulsed and disgusted by such a move. Americans don't cotton to capitulation to kidnappers. And releasing the Blind Sheik? No, this would have worked against Obama in public opinion. The fact of one of our Ambassadors being kidnapped at all would have come off as a sign of profound weakness, and releasing the Blind Sheik would have pegged the needle on the ol' wimp-o-meter.

Next, this kidnapping scenario assumes that the Obama regime was relying on fairly contested elections, had no election fraud teams in place in the major metro areas of the swing states, and/or was truly Nixonian in its desire for a unanimous victory. Again, nope. They clearly weren't going for a unanimous or near-unanimous electoral college sweep as Nixon was trying to do. They were all about targeted fraud in the swing states. They had no care or concern about winning Kansas, Wyoming or Oklahoma. The motives simply don't match up.

Finally, we have to ask why the Clintons were co-conspirators in the murder of Stevens. WHY are the Clintons a.) participating in the initial murder of Stevens and b.) not throwing Obama and Jarrett under the bus? The Obama machine stole the 2008 primaries from Hillary, and both Bill and Hillary personally loathe Obama and his Chicago crew. Why this unholy demonic alliance?

Because Chris Stevens was a lynchpin in the running of arms by the Obama regime and Clinton's State Department in full cooperation with each other to the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda through Libya. And yes, it is absolutely sane and appropriate to assume that Huma Abedin (Hillary's consigliere and daughter of high-ranking Muslim Brotherhood leaders) figures into this. Both Obama's White House and Hillary's State Department were mutually and equally tied to this arms running, and both of their bacons were equally in the fire. The Obama White House, I am convinced, has plans for the retention of power beyond 2016 (Michelle?), and Hillary thinks she is going to be POTUS from 2017-2025. The bottom line is that the duumvirate of the most dangerous, evil psychopaths on the face of the earth decided for slightly different reasons that Ambassador Stevens needed to be dead in order to cover the gunrunning to the Muslim Brotherhood, and so together, they killed him. They withdrew all of his security (at the behest of the State Department), told the Muslim Brotherhood that it was all-clear, guaranteed that there would be no response or retaliation to an attack (only the Oval Office could issue the stand-down order), and even put the cherry on top by instantly framing the entire hit as some sort of musloid blasphemy propaganda. That was just gratuitous. Sickeningly gratuitous.

If it had been a kidnapping plot, Chris Stevens would have been KIDNAPPED. Remember, he had almost no security in the end. He wouldn't have been gang raped, killed and then had his dead body gang raped again.

The Clintons have a long history of having people murdered, all the way back into the early 1980's in Arkansas. Vince Foster. Ron Brown. These people are psychopaths and murderers. You have to deal with this.

The Obama machine, being neo-Stalinist, is also murderous, having seen to the assassination of at least three of Barry's sodomy partners from Trinity UCC cult on the South Side of Chicago. Purely as an aside, don't you think that it is odd that an attention whore like Jeremiah Wright saw three members of his cult murdered within just a few weeks of one another and never said a WORD publicly about that? No demands for a full FBI investigation on the front steps. No march through the streets with Jesse Jackson and Fr. Pfleger demanding that justice be done and that the targeted killings of his flock be given the highest priority by law enforcement. Nope. Nothing. It's almost as if Wright was neither surprised nor alarmed by the rapid serial killing of his "parishioners". I wonder what POSSIBLE EXPLANATION there could be for that?

Sadly, Chris Stevens was just another "expendable faggot" in the eyes of the Obama-Clinton machine. He was a dead man the day he accepted the position. And doesn't it seem odd that the Obama-Clinton machine would send a known sodomite man to be the ambassador to an unstable, backward muslim country to begin with? Again, it was probably done intentionally as a last-ditch hedge, an ace-up-the-sleeve as it were. Stevens could be killed, and then turned into some sort of sodomite martyr as a last-ditch plan. But, they didn't need that. They had the "blasphemy video". Eyeroll.

Finally, I would like to reiterate that the ultimate "expendable faggot" is Barry himself. I worry. I worried terribly after he showed up stoned to the first debate. I continue to worry now. First, thanks to the buyer of the license plate for an amazing $1337. Once again, I am humbled.

Thanks also to all of the folks sending me emails telling me that I am a fraud and a thief and a moral degenerate for doing my estate sale auctions. Yes, I know. I can't win. If I sell stuff I'm going to hell for being a money-grubbing fraud, and if I don't do anything I am being prideful in not asking for help when it is needed, and there is nothing that sends a person to hell as quickly and surely as the sin of pride. So, yeah. It's pretty much existential for me. Waking up breathing makes me a sinner. Please pray for me. Obviously.

And, just so you know, the hits keep on a-comin'. After being told by the phone company that they were charging me a $1200 cancellation fee, the next day the security system company told me that they were going to charge me a $1000 termination fee.

The first punch didn't quite destroy my kidney. Please, just punch me right there again. It's cool. I have another kidney, so no prob.

But in all seriousness, this is just a testament to how far gone our culture is, and not just on the macro level. Fifty years ago people would never treat others like this. If someone went broke, or whatever, generally people didn't kick them when they were down. If contracts became untenable, human decency kicked in and contracts were voided according to A.) common sense and B.) human decency.

This ruthless interpersonal behavior is a direct function of the decent into Marxist-Communism or whatever you want to call this. When human beings are reduced to economic units by the government, that eventually trickles down to the personal level. It is the ultimate irony. Capitalism tempered by Christian culture has a built-in incentive for people to be good to each other - in business it is called "goodwill", and it is a very real asset. So while the Marxists lyingly claim that they will deliver a charitable, merciful culture, it is exactly the opposite. Marxism makes people ruthless, hard and unforgiving. Capitalism restrained by Christian culture yields the most fertile ground for charitable interpersonal dealings.

The funny thing is, if the security system company would have been cool about it, I would have totally plugged them here on the blog. They really were a good company in terms of their service. After I burned the koran I upgraded and added video surveillance and all the bells and whistles, and it was great. Too bad they blew the opportunity for massive "goodwill".

First, a repost of a piece I wrote months ago on cash markets decoupling from the futures and derivatives markets, specifically in the context of metals. I have not changed anything, but I have bolded the key, key points.

For all of you Bitcoin fans, you are now realizing the massive flaw in the Bitcoin paradigm. You have no cash commodity to arbitrage. All you were ever dealing with was zeroes and ones on computer servers. I am hard-pressed to think of ANYTHING more vulnerable.

As I have been saying all along, if you can't stand in front of it with an assault weapon and physically defend it, then it isn't yours, and probably never was.

(Ahem. Cough. 401ks. Cough.)

3. Finally, a very simplistic explanation of how the cash commodity markets are soon going to decouple from the futures markets. This is a little complex, but stay with me. I think this is important to understand because none of us who have lived our whole lives in the U.S. have ever seen a market disintegrate.

The threat (or promise) of delivery upon expiration is what keeps the futures markets tethered to the cash markets. Up until now, if an unreasonably wide spread between the futures price and the underlying physical commodity market got too out of whack, a process called “arbitrage” would kick in. Arbitrage is when a party simultaneously buys and sells on two separate but related markets in order to capture an inefficient spread between those two markets.

I’m going to use precious metals as my example commodity because there are alot of metals guys reading this, and because the metals markets will be the big tell in term of when decoupling and thus total futures market disintegration is upon us. But these examples apply to all of the physical commodities.

Let’s say that the physical silver market is trading far lower than the silver futures price. This is what is called a WEAK BASIS. The BASIS is the relationship between the cash market and the futures market and is very simply defined as (CASH minus FUTURES). If cash silver can be bought at $25.00 per ounce and the futures are at $30.00 per ounce, the cash is $5.00 under the futures. When cash is under the futures, this is called a WEAK basis.

Up until now, what would a metals trader do? In very simple terms, he would buy the cash silver at $25.00 per ounce and then simultaneously sell the futures at $30.00. Because he has short-sold the futures, he could hold the contract to expiry and then deliver the $25.00 cash silver he bought to make good on the contract and receive his $30.00 price. So his simple net profit would be $5.00 per ounce. As many traders saw this spread and simultaneously executed this same strategy of buying the cash and selling the futures, what effect would this have? Right. It would cause the cash-futures spread to move back in toward convergence by pushing the futures price down (lots of sellers) and propping the cash market up (lots of buyers).

Now the opposite scenario: a STRONG basis. Let’s say cash silver is trading at $32.00 and the futures are trading at $28.00. A trader might take physical silver that he has in inventory and sell it in the cash market, and then immediately take those proceeds and buy back and equal number of ounces in the futures market and take delivery. Since the same number of ounces in the futures market cost $4.00 per ounce LESS, he would end up with the same number of ounces in his inventory PLUS $4.00 per ounce in CASH in his pocket. If he and many other traders saw this condition and they all sold cash silver and bought the futures, this would, again, converge the spread between the cash market and the futures market.

The lynchpin that is holding this dynamic together and keeping the futures markets tied to the underlying cash market is the fact that the futures contracts are deliverable, and a trader can either deliver or take delivery of actual physical silver via his futures position.

Are we seeing a problem yet? The futures markets have lost their viability and trustworthiness because of the MF collapse and theft. At some point in the not-too-distant future, people everywhere are going to realize that the delivery mechanism is not reliable. Heck, just holding cash and/or positions in a futures account is no longer reliable. The the market itself is not reliable, traders will no longer attempt to arbitrage these basis spreads because the risk to the trader that the rug will be pulled out from underneath them is simply too great.

And in the metals markets, the delivery process itself is . . . um . . . shall we say, easily corrupted? When you “take delivery” of physical metals, it doesn’t get sent to your house. All you get is a certificate saying that X number of ounces are being held in a certified vault somewhere with your name on them. After the MF collapse, that sounds like a joke, right? A CERTIFICATE with my NAME ON IT? Yeah. That really is how it works.

When the arbitrageurs finally lose all confidence in the markets, the cash market will decouple from the futures because no one will be willing to take the risk of having their money, positions and/or physical metals stolen/confiscated. If no arbitrageurs are willing to trade these spreads – no matter how wide they may become – and thus there is no force causing the cash and futures to converge, we will see the basis spreads become extremely wide. As people flee the futures markets, the futures prices will drop, while the cash markets hold steady or even diverge and actually rise as all of the former paper players realize that physicals are the only remaining game to be played.

Watch for this. Watch for the gold and silver futures to sell off as people walk away from paper while the online cash dealers, seeing that market demand for their physical inventory is robust, begin to ignore the futures prices and hold their prices steady or even raise them. When you see this basis decoupling and absence of arbitrage, lo, the end is nigh. A parabolic spike is coming.

Next, people are asking why I'm not saying much about Cyprus and all of that.

Um, because I already did. Back in November of 2012. I made a 2.5 hour economics presentation that "called" and explained exactly what has and is happening in Cyprus, Europe, and eventually here. And, big props to Karl Denninger and Warren Pollock who were all over these ideas before I was. Warren, in particular, was warning of bank holidays and "bail-ins" two years ago.

Part 3 beginning at the 6:00 mark is where I discuss the sweeping confiscations of bank deposits.

I explain repos and CDS in the context of MF Global, but you can just substitute "Cyprus" for MF Global and it is the exact same thing. Cyprus was basically forced by the Troika (European Commission, European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund) to lever up on Greek junk bonds. The Troika, through various "regulatory" arms were "fake auditing" the Cypriot banks (just as MF Global was being "fake audited" by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Chicago Mercantile exchange) and were valuing the worthless Greek bonds as having essentially full, "par" value. Then, when the Troika wanted to collapse the Cypriot banking industry and begin the process of seizing customer deposits, they did an about face and declared that the Greek paper that the Cypriot banks were holding - at the urging of and enabled by the Troika all along, remember - was worthless. Acknowledging this reality and marking the Cypriot banks' balance sheets to REALITY is what instantly collapsed the Cypriot banks. So, just making sure you understand, the Troika forced and enabled the Cypriot banks to load up on junk, and then when the Troika olgarchs, led by Obama Chicago crony Christine Legarde, wanted Cyprus dead and the accounts swept, they just dropped the sword of damocles. And, of course, we now know that the Russians and the Continental "elites" were given weeks of warning, and slithered out of the Cypriot banks, mostly via London. It's basically the mom-and-pop accounts that lost their funds in Cyprus - again, just like MF Global.

Guys, exactly the same condition exists in the U.S. banking system. If the U.S. banks were suddenly forced to mark their mortgages and credit cards to REALITY, and not full par, peak-of-the-bubble values, the entire U.S. banking system would instantly implode. And that doesn't even take into consideration the hundreds of TRILLIONS of dollars in derivatives on European junk bonds that all of the U.S. banks are holding, too. I lay all of that out in lurid, lurid detail.

1. One sure way to know that you're on the right track is when the demons start attacking. For me, this is manifested mostly in my email box, which is a quite mild vector as those things go. But, you can always tell when the demoniacs are out and about. Today's example was extremely easy to spot, what with all of the satanic jargon and slogans, and the truly uncreative use of the "c" word. Before deleting it though, my eye happened to fall upon one line near the top that went something like this:

"What are you going to do? Pray to Baby J? LOL."

What an absolutely SPLENDID idea. Thank you.

I am happy to announce that the whole "estate liquidation" endeavor has now been consecrated to the Infant Jesus of Prague. Yay!

Long story short, Our Lord has seen fit to manifest Himself in ways particularly attached to a statue of Himself as an infant which resides in Prague. He wants us to love Him in every possible way, including as an infant. Why? Because babies are totally helpless and that helplessness reminds us of and points us to the Eucharist, wherein Our Lord is likewise totally helpless as He comes to us under the appearance of bread and wine. A Host, like the Baby Jesus (because a Host IS the Baby Jesus, remember), must be handled with exceeding tenderness and care, and can be dropped or otherwise mishandled at any time. And yet, despite this, God Almighty, for Whom all of creation is like less than a drop in the ocean to us, became incarnate and was a Baby, and comes to us on the altar, totally helpless and physically dependent in the Eucharist every day.

So, there's that, and then there's also the snuggling part. Baby Jesus just loves to snuggle. When we receive Him in the Eucharist, we are truly snuggling with God, as He settles right under our hearts and stays there for fifteen minutes or so. Show me a person who receives Holy Communion and the runs out the door and I'll show you someone who hasn't a CLUE what is going on, and probably has never heard word one about the Real Presence.

Thus, the statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague reminds people of the Baby Jesus (Who can easily be forgotten outside of Christmastime), and when people specifically call upon Our Lord in this way, miracles and extreme blessings tend to rain down. In fact, the Infant Jesus of Prague devotion is known to "keep us from all want".

I have said this before and I'll say it again. Satan and his minions are IMPOTENT. They can also be surprisingly obtuse, especially considering their angelic nature.

2. Which thus segues into the update on THE SPOON. As of this writing, the bid is at $500.00. Goodness. I am humbled.

3. Several folks have asked what will be done with estate sale proceeds. Well, it will probably help defray moving expenses, and by moving, I mean physically getting my furniture moved out of here and given away. EVERYTHING is going. Every stick and splinter. Some of it will require men and a van to move. Anything beyond that will help me establish a very new and very DIFFERENT mode of life. I can't wait. It is my intention to continue writing as long as I can, and as long as I have a server and access to an internet connection. I have plenty more to say.

4. And finally, I just had to share that my Home Owners' Association has started fining me $50 per month because I put the chalk Epiphany Blessing over my front door, which is so totally poetic.

You know, it almost makes me think that Someone is trying to tell me something.

You may just put this on perpetual repeat loop and lie on the sofa in a beauty-induced, tear-streaked coma for the next several hours.

Come, let us cast off all earthly care and forget every vain employ. For the King of All comes in triumph by unseen hosts of angels to us that bid Him welcome. Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.

2. My Psalm 68 citation is correct. Protestant Bibles *and some modern Catholic Bibles that are trying to be protestant) mis-number the Psalms. The Church, both in the West and the East, uses the Septuagint-Vulgate numbering. It is Psalm 68.

3. Regarding the Spectral Doughnut, a clever reader suggested that I point out that the conceptual image would be better if I pointed out that in life the Spectral Doughnut is not sitting flat, as a doughnut on a table, but rather is standing vertically on end. Thus when we move toward Truth, we are traversing UP, ascending to the top of the doughnut, and when we move away from God, either by the "right" surface or the "left" surface, we are moving DOWN, converging at the lowest point, which is hell. Excellent.

4. I have peacefully decided to let my office/home property go, and my eviction date is set in a little over a month. I could have contested the whole thing as the chain of custody of the mortgage is textbook fraud, but I want to move on and be rid of all property, and guys, I gotta tell you, since making the final decision I feel FANTASTIC. The fruit of the Third Joyful Mystery (the birth of Our Lord) is poverty, and it is indeed a joyful, joyful fruit.

I cannot bring myself to solicit funds, but I have had an idea. I obviously need to get rid of a lot of stuff. Most of my remaining property I will donate and/or give away, but I could put some small, random, easily shippable items on Ebay. I'm thinking small kitchen wares and stuff like that. Ebay is an auction, and thus I would have no control over the sale prices. The "market" would determine that. I'm still agonizing over this, but if you think that an "estate sale" is either a good or terrible idea, I would be interested to hear.

I find it stunning how many emails I receive from protestants excoriating me for mentioning Our Lord's Passion, or for any feelings of wanting to make reparation for my sins and the sins of the world, or for wanting to comfort Our Lord in the Garden, in whatever hamfisted way possible, because "it is already done" and "nowhere in the Bible does it say anyone has to suffer for anyone else's sins."

I find these emails to be the saddest of all. I can understand how there can still be people emailing me asking if they should get out of their 401k or IRA. I can understand how people can walk around with zero understanding of the financial system, and even of simple arithmetic. It is terrifying, but I can understand it.

What I cannot understand is people who proudly proclaim their deep, intense "personal relationship with Jesus Christ" having absolutely no interest in or compassion for Him personally. I tell you over and over again that the Eucharist, that is the consecrated bread and wine is ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY JESUS CHRIST, and there is ZERO INTEREST. None. Zip. I tell you He is here physically and you can not only go be in His physical presence, but you can also physically take Him into your body if you enter into the Church.

Not interested.

Because, you know, when you are in a deep, intense "personal relationship" with someone, you have NO INTEREST in seeing them, being close to them, or being physically intimate with them.

And beyond that, when you are in a deep, intense "personal relationship" with someone, when they are suffering, the only thing that matters to you is whether or not you caused the suffering, and if so, are you legally dispensed from the liability.

I'm not a sodomite. I didn't actually kill any of those babies with my own hands. It is His job to bear that guilt. He chose to go into the Garden and take it. He chose to sob until His capillaries burst. This is a purely legal question. If I didn't do it, or if He legally contracted to suffer for my sins, then it is all on Him, and I'm certainly not going to dive back into any suffering with Him ... I mean, that would be missing the point, right? I'm saved. He took it, and so, LET HIM HAVE IT.

It seems to me that the only "deep, personal relationship" in that is with one's self.

Our Lord is a Person. A Divine Person. He is also the Person Who engineered and created the universe. Time is one of His engineered constructs. For Him, all of time is one, big NOW. Thus, everything that ever has happened or ever will happen is perpetually present and happening to Him. He is perpetually in the Manger in Bethlehem. He is perpetually in the Garden in agony. He is perpetually on the Cross. He is perpetually resurrected. He is perpetually ascended to the Father.

We meet Him upon the Cross at every Mass, in which He folds time so that we can all be physically at the foot of the Cross. Why does He do this? Because He looks for one that would grieve together with Him. He is comforted by the compassion of the very people who put Him on the Cross, and He provides this ability for temporal transcendence so that EVERYONE who loves Him can be with Him at Calvary, not just the few people who were there 1980 years ago. He does this so that Peter and the rest of the Apostles who fled could be there. He does this so that the little peasant woman in 9th century France could be with Him. He does this so that we can be with Him.

On Holy Thursday, He is especially comforted by those who truly, truly love Him, not as a piece of contract law or legalistic device, but as He is, a Person, and He affords us the chance to be with Him in the Garden; to approach Him as He lies prostrate in the dirt, sobbing, shaking, and already bleeding from the inside out, and ask to stay with Him and suffer with Him.

You do realize that is what the word "compassion" means, right? "Com" means "with". "Passion" means "suffer". To have compassion is to desire to "suffer with" another person.

It seems to me that if you really have a "personal relationship" with Jesus Christ, then the thought of NOT going to Him in the Garden, not just on Holy Thursday, but every single day of your life, is intolerable, regardless of who caused His agony, or whether or not it is "legally covered". If you are indifferent to the suffering of another, please stop lying to yourself and the world by claiming that you are engaged in a "deep, personal relationship".

So, one weekday morning last year I got up with the chickens and went to the 8:30am Low Tridentine Mass uptown. It started out normally enough. In processed Father with one server. Father looked a bit flat-footed, but then this particular priest is pretty old, so one doesn't expect a Fred Astaire-like gait from the quasi-elderly. It wasn't until the consecrations of the Host and Chalice that it became clear that something was terribly, physically wrong with Father. At each genuflection he had to slightly twist his body and almost lay his upper body on the altar in order to genuflect, bearing much of his weight on his elbows both on the way down and on the way back up. It was obvious with each genuflection that Father was in excruciating pain. I sat in my little spot in the back of the church, at once horrified by the obvious physical distress I was witnessing, but also deeply moved by the courageous perseverance and uncompromising love for Our Lord that Father, seen by only the half-dozen or so people in the nave, demonstrated. Father wasn't putting on a show, because there was essentially no one there to see it. If he had been saying Mass alone in his room, he would have done exactly the same; of that I have no doubt. Why? Because he loved Our Lord, and to not genuflect to Him would be simply unthinkable. Our Lord, whipped until He was skinned and in shock, thrice bent His knee to us, falling three times beneath His Cross, to demonstrate His complete love for creatures that are totally unworthy of His love. How much more, then, should we bend our knees to Him who is our Creator, our King and our Savior?

It turned out that the priest had gone on a hike up in the Colorado mountains the day before and taken a terrible spill on the way down, tearing open his knee. Thankfully he was in a large group of men, and was thus able to be carried down, and transported to the emergency room in Vail where he had his knee sutured back together. The knee eventually healed, and all's well that ends well, but for the life of me I have no idea why such an old man was frolicking on such a difficult mountain trail.

I have lately also been reminded of the last years of John Paull II's pontificate. In the last years, suffering from Parkinson's, JPII became more and more frail, requiring more and more physical assistance. I can remember seeing Masses in which he was being essentially held up by one man on each side. Most especially, his genuflections after the consecration of the host and then the chalice were particularly moving because toward the end, he looked like a rag doll being lowered and raised by the two men at his sides. This, of course, points directly to the Fifth Station of the Cross, wherein Simon of Cyrene helps Our Lord carry His Cross. How beautiful to see the Vicar of Christ so clearly mirroring Our Lord in His perfect humility, and accepting help in order to bring to consummation and completion the Sacrifice of Calvary, made present in time upon the altar. As I have been told on a near-daily basis from every vector for the last several weeks, failing to ask for and accept help when it is needed is a pure function of pride, not humility. Indeed. I am very prideful.

There is a very important concept in the Church, and in life that says: Lex orandi, lex credendi. In Latin this means "the law of prayer is the law of belief", or "how we pray is how we believe." The Mass is a prayer - it is THE prayer par excellence. HOW we pray, and most particularly how we pray the Mass, is of unquantifiable importance. In the two examples above, we see that HOW we pray not only matters, but becomes meritorious and a massive conduit for grace, with the potential to turn instances of personal suffering into evangelical witnesses that could not be matched with any 50,000 word book or sermon. The world is collapsing and falling to pieces because of the destruction of the Mass and the lack of reverence toward Our Lord, most especially in the Mass and in the Blessed Sacrament. The two examples above demonstrated intense love for Our Lord in His Passion, and in His Resurrection by reverencing Him in His Real Presence in the Eucharist. The only hope for the world is MORE reverence in the Mass and towards the Eucharist, not less. The world will never believe that Our Lord is physically present upon the altar and in the Eucharist, in other words, the world will never believe the Gospel, if how we pray does not clearly reflect that supreme reality.

One of the greatest men in the history of the Church said it best:

"Preach the Gospel at all times. If necessary, use words."

1. The final collapse of western civilization will be pegged to March 19, 2013 when all notions of personal property rights were officially extinguished.

2. On the same day the Vicar of Jesus Christ declined to reverence the Consecrated Host in any way at his inaugural Mass. No bow, no genuflection. Nothing. Nah. No big deal. Nothing to worry about here. I mean, it is just objective reality. 2:00:35 is the timestamp you'll want to watch.

3. And, of course, Barack Obama is on the ground in Israel.

If I had a band, I'd name it "Spectral Doughnut". But I don't, so anyone who wants the name can have it.

Did you know that the official, fancy-pants mathematical term for a doughnut is "torus"? Well, not for a doughnut as a foodstuff, but for the shape of a doughnut: a tube bent around such that the two endpoints connect.

Conceptually, the torus is everywhere in life. Extremes on either side of a human spectrum have the nasty habit of being the same position. The most obvious example of this is in the political sphere, and while I'm not much of a Glenn Beck fan, Beck did explain this a few years ago. The far left is all about totalitarian control by a cadre of oligarchs. There really isn't any such thing as a true dictatorship, because one man cannot physically force an entire government or people to do his will. He will always have a cadre of enablers and henchmen around him, and if he loses the support of that cadre of henchmen, they will kill him. Thus even the most seemingly solitary dictator is really just a frontman for an oligarchy. Dictatorial oligarchies use brute force to impose their will and have no respect for the Rule of Law. They consider themselves to be the law. If they want it, they take it, and if you don't like that, they kill you. On the left, the most brutal thug with the worst case of psychopathy wins.

The far right is the same thing. The far right is anarchy, which means no government. This sounds good on the surface, especially when you're face with the truly satanic government we have now, until you realize that also means NO RULE OF LAW. Every man for himself. In this environment, the most brutal thug with the worst case of psychopathy wins.

While the philosophical paths may differ, the ends are exactly the same. No matter which arm of the doughnut you favor, if you move away from logic, reason and truth, proceeding out of which is charity in the true sense of the word, meaning love of neighbor, not just throwing "free stuff" at the nebulous conceptual mob of "the people", or as with anarchy a total indifference toward neighbor, you are going to end up with exactly the same end: an elite, minuscule, ruling class with a massive, brutally oppressed underclass, and lots and lots of dead bodies. In both the far left and far right, to quote Obama's Manufacturing czar Ron Bloom quoting Mao: All political power comes from the barrel of a gun.

That is only partially true. All political power in a godless regime, either far right or far left, comes from the barrel of a gun. In a Godly monarchy, the power comes from God Himself. The same could possibly be said of an early Godly republic, but history proves that republics never last long.

Economically, exactly the same idea holds true. On the far left is a Marxist command economy, and on the far right is unrestrained capitalism. Pope Benedict made a remark earlier this year about the evils of "unrestrained capitalism" and the press instantly declared that Benedict had rejected capitalism and embraced socialsm. Nonsense. If Benedict rejected capitalism and embraced socialism, then according to that false logic I rejected capitalism and embraced socialism when I shut down my brokerage. Again, nonsense. I rejected exactly what Benedict spoke about: UNRESTRAINED capitalism, which is lawlessness and theft.

Socialism and unrestrained capitalism are basically the same thing: the two arms of the torus touch. Marxist-socialist-communist systems forcibly steal the property of the underclass and deliver it into the insatiably greedy hands of the minuscule oligarch class. Unrestrained capitalism does EXACTLY the same thing. A minuscule cadre of what are today called banksters, but used to be called robber barons, forcibly confiscate, in simple terms STEAL, the property of the underclass and hoard it for themselves. It is the same thing. This is why these banksters, who one would at first blush think of as capitalists, are always found in bed with Marxist politicians. Marxism and unrestrained capitalism are essentially the same thing: theft and looting of the underclasses by a cadre of super-rich oligarchs, with zero rule of law, only the brutal rule of men from the barrel of a gun.

This has become so clear today because the banksters and Marxist politicians now routinely swap jobs. Jon Corzine went from Goldman Sachs to the United States Senate and the New Jersey statehouse back out into MF Global. Hank Paulsen went from Goldman Sachs to heading the U.S. Treasury Department. Almost all politicians after leaving office either by being voted out or retiring (if they ever do), usually go straight onto corporate boards. For the politicians that never retire, they place their family members in corporate positions.

Bottom line: beware of ANYONE who is constantly pushing one of these political or economic extremes, because both move AWAY FROM GOD, and ultimately meet up in the same place: hell. When far leftists are beating the drum of "the poor" and "the people", that means there is about to be a massive, and utterly dehumanizing confiscation of wealth, which will end up in the hands of the oligarchs, and the poor will get poorer, thus "necessitating" more dehumanizing confiscations … in the name of the poor. And that is when the dead bodies REALLY start to pile up. Run away from that evil at full speed. And when capitalism becomes unrestrained and there is no Rule of Law, and all that matters is who you know and what connections you have, and the only way to "succeed" is to be a thieving thug psychopath, then run away at full speed. That's what I did.

And now, I am going to go have a doughnut because it will be a purely intellectual exercise, and thus will have no calories.

A couple of points. First, there STILL is confusion about these confiscations, dating back to the MF Global theft. People are still trying to say that the money that was/is confiscated, both from the MF Global customers and the Cypriot bank accounts is somehow "investment" capital.

No, no, no, no, no.

If you deposit money in a custodial account, you are NOT investing in the brokerage firm or in the bank. The MF Global customers were not investors in MF Global or sharing in any way in MF Global's proprietary trading profits. The people of Cyprus are not investors in their banks. The people of Cyprus who deposited money in the bank were not signing on to a share in an uber-leveraged scheme involving repos and credit default swaps on Greek sovereign paper.

THEY WERE PEOPLE WHO SIMPLY DEPOSITED THEIR MONEY, THEIR PROPERTY IN CURRENCY FORM, THE FUNGIBLE PROXY FOR THEIR LABOR AND CREATIVE CAPACITY WHICH THEY HAD ACCUMULATED, INTO A SACROSANCT, INSURED, CUSTODIAL DEMAND DEPOSIT AND/OR TIME DEPOSIT ACCOUNT.

The MF Global accounts were the same - they were fully-backed demand deposit accounts that were used to margin the account holder's futures and options positions. They were the sole, private property of the account holder and MF Global had ZERO ownership interest in that customer money.

Do you know why people used to keep fairly large balances in brokerage accounts like MF Global? Because before MF Global, brokerage accounts were guaranteed 100% by the exchange. No maximums. If a firm failed, the purpose and role of the exchange was to backstop and guarantee the firm with zero liquidity interruption. And, remembering that on the day MF Global imploded and the customer funds were swept and wired to JP Morgan, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange had an emergency slush fund of over EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS ready to go, the fact that the customers were not made INSTANTLY whole by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange is totally nefarious and criminal regardless of the circumstances.

Now the total integral failure of the brokerage paradigm has occurred in the retail banking paradigm. All deposits in the EU *were* insured up to 100,000 Euro, just like the farcical FDIC insurance. Now everyone knows that it is all total cow poop, just like the guarantees on brokerage accounts has been proved multiple times to be total cow poop.

Oh, and the oligarchs are trying to call this a "tax". Um, no. Taxes are passed by legislatures. This is Christine Legarde and some German bureaucrats arbitrarily, forcibly confiscating private bank accounts. Any "law" passed ex post facto in Cyprus will merely be a show trying to make it appear that this is not the arbitrary tyranny that it is.

Finally, I don't care how much Russian money laundering is going on in Cyprus, and yes, I know it is huge. This is totally beside the point. Just because criminal money laundering is happening through Cypriot banks doesn't mean that anyone has the right to confiscate the money of innocent Cypriots. The whole Russian money laundering excuse is a total red herring. Look, the nation with the largest absolute quantity of money laundering is the United States of America. Think HSBC. Think Wachovia. Think Washington Mutual. Think Bank of America. Does that mean that every bank account in the entire country can be levied - and not just in the banks with the money laundering but EVERY ACCOUNT IN EVERY BANK IN THE NATION? Of course not.

Bottom line: I shut down my brokerage firm precisely because I knew that there was no longer any rule of law and that customer money was totally indefensible. Now the same thing has happened in the retail banking sector and Obama regime cronies are openly declaring on national television that across-the-board private property confiscations are being regarded as "opening up enormous possibilities."

DO NOT sit around and wait for your money, be it in retirement accounts, stock accounts, money market accounts or even in simple bank accounts or CDs, to be stolen. There is probably going to be a small reaction lag as the low-information populaces of the Southern European countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal) are slow on the uptake of what has happened, but it won't last forever. Once Guido in Naples gets his head around this, the Eurozone will be O.V.E.R. And the the US banks carrying HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS in leveraged European sovereign debt over-the-counter derivatives will implode into a black hole-esque singularity at the speed that information can cross the Atlantic Ocean, which AIN'T VERY DARN LONG, kids.

King Saint Fernando became one of history’s most gifted and formidable warriors, while being at the same time one of the greatest monarchs who ever ruled. He, like so many men of his time, did not seek to enjoy a long life so much as he sought to live a good life. Thus, he spent his entire life in the service of God, rather than wasting his time in service to himself.

King St Fernando was a man of clear and deep faith, who realized that everything depends on God and that it is He Who grants the victory. He knew, nonetheless, that the Lord never wants to help those who are lazy but to assist with grace those who do everything that is in their power. This effort becomes a prayer of action, when combined with trust in Him.

As a consequence of his holy intentions, all of Saint Fernando’s ventures met with success. He was absolutely invincible, personally as well as while directing his armies, conquering hearts and minds as completely as he did cities and strongholds. He knew that there is no holier enterprise than to do one’s duty before God, and that his first obligation was to rescue his own country.

Cyprus is MF Global on a national, retail banking scale. Corzine absolutely blazed this trail. The particulars are almost exactly the same. Both MF Global/Corzine and Cyprus were failing entities, both took massive, uber-leveraged risks on European sovereign debt, both swept sacrosanct customer money when the house of cards finally collapsed under the weight of its own math.

The indefensible zeroes and ones were instantly swept from the computer servers and customers were locked-out of their accounts.

Interestingly, both were goaded on and enabled by the same people. Corzine was a crony of the Obama regime, which is operationally a Chicago-based phenomenon, as are the regulators of the futures industry, along with the CME group itself.

Cyprus was goaded, overseen, and then "harvested" by the International Monetary Fund, which is chaired by Christine Legarde, who is a Chicago player, and who actually was a partner at Baker & McKenzie before being placed at the IMF by the Obama regime and bankster oligarchy. Cyprus was Christine Legarde's play, and Legarde is in the Chicago oligarch circle.

This will happen here. It already has with MF Global, Cyprus is testing the national, retail banking level, and then it will happen here. They might go straight to bank holidays here, as Warren Pollock has been talking about for over 18 months now, or they may do a levy confiscation like this on retirement accounts.

If you have any money exposed to the financial system, you're just stupid. That's it. Bottom line.

From 2011, Pope Francis, then Cardinal Bergoglio, celebrating a "youth Mass" complete with puppets. This is just about as bad as it gets, folks.

The consecrations are at the 5:30 and 6:15 marks. No genuflection. In fact not a single person there on the altar, such as it is, genuflects, much less kneels, except the young server in the front with the incense, who is on his knees. All of the rest of the concelebrating priests remain standing throughout, and of course, the two kid "cantors" just stand there between their performance opportunities.

I GUESS THEY MUST ALL BE CRIPPLED OLD MEN, TOO, HUH?

This is the state of the Church in Buenos Aires, and all of Argentina, as I have been told repeatedly by Argentinians who have emailed me, both laity and clergy. Banality, insipidity, sacrilege. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Calvary made present, is treated as a bad joke.

And now, a quote from Cardinal Hummes of Brazil, who is one of Pope Francis' closest friends and colleagues, as evidenced by the fact that Hummes was standing beside Pope Francis on the balcony on Wednesday night:

Q: In what sense is reform necessary?

Cardinal Hummes: Not just of the Curia, but many other things: our way of celebrating ("fazer", lit. "making", "doing") Mass, of doing evangelization, this new evangelization needs new methods. The pope spoke in the meeting with the cardinals of new methods, we need to find new methods.

After what you have read here about the incredibly deep and profound theology of the Mass and the Eucharist over the last several months, you cannot be an honest person and truly believe that there is nothing wrong here, and that everything is fine.

Further, do you honestly expect a man who would participate in such a breathtakingly undignified liturgy to provide any sort of solidity when it comes to economic systems and a realistic path forward out of economic and geo-political collapse?

We are about to have a world war, and the new Pope thinks that the key to evangelizing the world is more liturgical puppets and "fun" Masses, apparently. Yeah. That's what all people are searching for. And besides, that worked so well in the 1970s, we might as well double-down and do it again.

Being an adult and manfully facing objective reality is not pharisaical. Going through life denying that which is obvious and right in front of you; swearing that everything is great and fine when in fact everything is collapsing around you is not good or virtuous. It is ridiculous, childish and sometimes just plain evil. We see this in politics, as people refuse to acknowledge that "their guy" or "their team" not only isn't going to save the day, but that "their guys" are actually the enemy. We see it in finance as people refuse to accept the stark objective reality of simple arithmetic. We see it in current events as more and more thefts, confiscations, incursions and perversions are carried out in plain sight, but the masses refuse to acknowledge that any of these things are indicative of disorder, and that the people talking and warning about them, even when proved right again and again, are either "mean" or "crazy".

With regards to the Church, the gates of hell will never prevail against it, BUT individuals can be lost and are lost to hell. How many souls lost are YOU willing to tolerate for the sake of being "nice"? If you want to talk about charity, here is where you start. Stop worrying about being nice and universally loved, liked or even respected and start telling people the truth, no matter how ugly it may be.

I don't give a lick what any of you people think of me, and I will never ask anyone for any money, ever. There are no advertisements here. There is no cash flow. There is no career ambition. There is no cult of personality. And that is why I am willing to tell you the unvarnished truth. If you want to be lied to, I can direct you exactly where you can go for that.

God is angry. Pray hard. Be sorry for not just your own sins, but for the sins of the whole world. Do penance. Make reparation.

**Many readers are emailing asking for suggestions IF Cardinal Hummes' quote proves true and the Traditional Mass, namely the Tridentine Rite, is in any way suppressed or oppressed. I do have a suggestion that you may want to explore. There are several "Eastern Catholic Rites" that are in full, complete communion with Rome and are 100% Catholic that it would be all but impossible for a Pope to mess with - and the chant is GORGEOUS. Look for Byzantine Rite, or Ukrainian Catholic parishes. There are other Eastern Catholic Rites, but Byzantine/Ukrainian are the most common Eastern Catholic rites in North America. Just be certain that you are looking at a Catholic, and NOT Russian Orthodox or Greek Orthodox parish, as the Orthodox are NOT in communion with Rome, and thus lack validity, and also teach heresy, such as contraception, divorce and remarriage, etc., not to mention having messed-up Trinitarian theology, which as we have discussed, if not spot-on leads to massive problems.

Yes, it is every bit as bad as it sounds, and worse. Word is that the initial plan was for a 40% (!!!!) levy confiscation of Cypriot bank accounts. They settled for a MERE 6.75% and 9.9% dual-layered compromise.

Yeah, you all need to do what I have been doing for the last several months and live within spitting distance of being overdrawn in your bank accounts. In other words, keep the BARE MINIMUM in the bank and feed your account just enough to cover the bills. As soon as money comes in, get it the heck out of there.

Looks like the IRS may prove to be the least of my worries with regards to levying bank accounts!

This has the potential to spark bank runs in other Southern European nations MERELY BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IT ACTUALLY HAS HAPPENED. Pray the Greeks, Italians, Spaniards and Portuguese are all watching talent shows or soccer and don't notice. But if it does, if you have watched my eight-part economic presentation on YouTube, then you understand that we will blow sky-high as the big banks and their tens of trillions of dollars in repos and reverse repos and credit default swaps, many-to-most of which are written on European sovereign debt, blow.

The Pope DID NOT GENUFLECT after either consecration. He did a weird bow thing, but didn't feel the need to bend his knee to God Almighty, physically present in his hands upon the altar.

But hey, all of you guys who are sending me emails whining about how I'm not nice, or something, go ahead and explain this one. He is perfectly physically sound. He FREELY CHOOSES to not reverence Our Lord in the Eucharist upon the altar.

Oh, and he also didn't genuflect to Our Lord in the Tabernacle when he went to Santa Maria Maggiore on Thursday morning, either. Um, how can a man truly love Our Lady if he doesn't first show even the slightest respect to her Son? Someone please explain that one to me.

Hey! I have an idea! Let's do a Pope watch. First one to see the Pope genuflect to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, and not to a Superfun Rockband church pastor, wins! In the mean time, everyone should pray for Pope Francis and that he learns to show Our Lord the tiniest bit of respect and GENUFLECT to Him after He comes down onto the altar, and whenever he approaches or crosses the plane of a Tabernacle in which Our Lord is physically present. I think that would be a great prayer intention for one and all.

I never occurred to me that my desire to do penance in reparation to Our Lord for the sacrileges of the world would include the consecration rubrics of THE POPE.

Thanks to the reader who suggested this. This is Pope Benedict's last public Mass on Ash Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Note that Pope Benedict, frail to the point of citing his frailty as a reason for his abdication, fully genuflects to the knee, as every priest MUST do as a non-negotiable rubric of celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

And for anyone arguing that it is simply too difficult for anyone over the age of twenty-four to genuflect, may I remind you that the rubrics call for both hands to be flat on the altar, which lends a great deal of physical support to the priest, and for there to be servers on each side who can assist with the genuflections by holding the elbows of the priest. That is one of the reasons the servers are there - to physically assist the priest if needed.

The genuflection after the consecration of the Host is at 1:19:33. The genuflection after the consecration of the Chalice is at 1:20:21.

Let me start with a positive comment. Remember, this is the best I could come up with:

If we had gotten the pope we DESERVE, we would now have Pope Snoop Dogg.

And thus ends the positivity.

Francis, like his homeland of Argentina, is a total disaster. He has overseen the near-total destruction of the Church in Argentina. He hates and despises the Tridentine Mass, which is to say that he hates the Mass - let's not mince words, and is a rabid persecutor of anyone in Argentina who shows ANY signs of tradition. A priest in Argentina literally risks the end of his career if he wears a cassock in public. He has forbidden the Tridentine Mass in Argentina, which is an act of direct disobedience, specifically against the papal decree Summorum Pontificum, but embraces horrific "charismatic" and "Superfun Rockband"-type liturgical sacrilege.

Which brings us to his regard for the papacy, and the Church itself. He said yesterday in his bizarre little speech, again and again, that he was the Bishop of Rome, which is true, but in being the Bishop of Rome the pope is the head of the Universal Church, not just the city of Rome. Francis does not believe this, and even made a reference to the idea that the pope is "first among equals". This means that he regards the Church as a mere loose confederacy, and also that he thinks the Church is, or should be, a democracy. The proof of this is, again, his blatant disobedience to Summorum Pontificum. He will never do anything to clean up the sodomite infiltrators in the Church outside of Rome because he doesn't feel that the pope has any authority outside of Rome. Bottom line here: many bishops and archbishops have been kept in line over the past eight years because Benedict was relatively aggressive in booting out extremely bad bishops. Benedict was feared in a healthy way. This guy is basically the big green light to every Marxist-homosexualist to just go ahead and do whatever, because they know Francis will never remove them or even chastise them, because Francis doesn't believe that the pope has any universal authority and is merely the bishop of the city of Rome proper - at least that is the excuse that will be given when nothing is done about abuses and heresies **that Francis is sympathetic towards.**

BUT, like all insecure leaders who say that they reject authority and obedience, reports from Buenos Aires are that he is an iron-fisted totalitarian against traditionalists, precisely because he has no confidence in or respect for his own authority, and thus assumes that no one else does either, and thus wields power against his perceived enemies only from brute force. Again, this is TEXTBOOK 20th century Marxist worldview and psychology. It is also the diametrical opposite of the virtue of MEEKNESS, which is power under control.

Next, he is an "ecu-maniac", which is to say that he is in the "all religions are equal and can't we all just get along" camp. In Buenos Aires he knelt before and received the "blessing" of a Superfun Rockband Church "pastor", and even received "communion" from a Protestant. There are pictures floating around of that episode. This is terrifying. He clearly does not have a strong belief in or understanding of Our Lord, His Church, the Mass or the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. But, as I have stated repeatedly, almost none of the men ordained in the 1960s, 70s or 80s do.

Next, he's a Jesuit. Now, I must disclose that I have a deep personal, seething, visceral hatred of Jesuits, but my hatred of them is a corollary to the fact that they long ago descended into truly evil heresies and apostasy. Jesuits, in addition to being a cult of sodomites who hate God, are also … wait for it … Marxists. Now Francis has in the past put up some token resistance to so-called "Liberation theology", which is just Communist Totalitarianism in religious drag, but he is huge, huge, huge on "social justice", which is merely code for Marxism. This guy's worldview revolves around giving people free stuff because it's nice, which as we have discussed is contrary to logic and reason, specifically in the subset of mathematics, and thus is contrary to Our Lord who is FIRST the Logos, with the Divine Caritas (charity) proceeding out of the Logos. Bottom line, there will be zero positive assistance to the world from Francis with regards to the inevitable economic collapse. Not only will there be nothing helpful coming from him, he will almost certainly come out in favor of more debt, more "free stuff", and more rhetoric about how people are "entitled" to physical and service commodities (which are someone else's man-hours, remember) as "rights".

But Ann! He has gone on record against homosexual "marriage" and abortion!

Wow. Is this really how far we have sunk? The Roman pontiff is on record as being against sodomy and killing babies and we cite this as proof of ORTHODOXY? Really? I wonder if he also believes in gravity. Does belief in gravity constitute a conservative worldview now?

Benedict thought that between the "Natural Solution" (the passage of time yielding the death or retirement of the bad guys) and the appointments he was able to make over the last eight years that he had set up the College of Cardinals to elect a successor that was very much in the Ratzingerian camp. Benedict was wrong. Not only did they not elect a Ratzingerian, they elected the anti-Ratzinger. In the 2005 conclave Francis came in second to Ratzinger, which is to say that Francis was the "opposition". In what must have Benedict's mind reeling today, after eight years of purging and priming the College of Cardinals, the very men Ratzinger placed turned around and elected the anti-Ratzinger. This proves, as I have said all along, that playing prevent defense, namely the "natural solution" of waiting for the bad guys to die is UNSOUND. In war, you fix your bayonets, say your prayers, and you charge.

Tridentine Mass-goers and clergy, this guy will be on the warpath against us at some point. Prepare. Brace. He may attempt to undo Summorum Pontificum either directly or through intense passive aggression. Any hopes of reconciling the good guys in the SSPX is now totally over. Beyond that, the splinter factions will now claim that "they were right", and sadly even more schism will result, and more people will remain outside the Church. So sad.

We got what we deserved, and probably better than we deserve. God's chastisement of His people is sending them bad priests, bishops, and now, in all likelihood, a bad pope. What do you expect? Look around. The world is awash in staggering sin and blasphemy and no one will lift a finger to do anything about it. And, as my last essay on penance proved via my email box, no one is sorry or has any desire to make reparation to Our Lord for any of it. No one has the slightest comprehension of the notion of taking on the burden of guilt for sins that they didn't directly commit, which blows my mind because that is LITERALLY the ENTIRE POINT of the Incarnation. The mind reels at the collective obtuseness needed to miss that glaring point.

No one has the slightest comprehension of the idea of seeing Our Lord in agony and simply stepping over to Him and asking, "What can I do to help You? What can I do to make You feel better? Let me take some of Your burden. Let me go with You."

Nope. So long as we all leave Him alone in His Passion, He will leave us to our self-absorption and indifference.

So I was praying the Rosary yesterday in a modest little church with a modest little Blessed Sacrament chapel and was struck right away by the First Sorrowful Mystery, which is the Agony of Our Lord in the Garden. The fruit of the mystery of the Agony in the Garden is sorrow for sin.

Look at those words again: sorrow for sin.

Not sorrow for just MY sins, but sorrow for all sin. And this, it seems to me, is where the world is in big, big trouble. If we read the Old Testament we see the same course of events repeating itself over and over again. People turn away from God, there is chastisement, the people repent and do penance, and God in His mercy forgives them and takes them back. But in every instance there must first be the acknowledgement of sin by the people and then penance. We see this both in individual contexts, as with David, and on the macro scale as with Israel over and over again. God does not and will not forgive sins unless there is a genuine turning away from the sinful activities. God does not and will not accept empty, hollow, dishonest faux-repentance, and certainly won't forgive an unrepentant people.

In visiting with people of late, it is very, very clear to me that there is basically ZERO sorrow for the sin beyond the individual level, and there is LESS THAN ZERO willingness to do penance and make reparation to Our Lord for the sins of the state, the broad culture, or for anyone other than one's self. Beyond that, the notion of penance itself has been watered down to nothingness. There are people running around living lives of utter decadence, ease and superficial happiness who will look you in the eye and swear up and down that they are living a life of penance because they pray every day, don't eat red meat on Fridays, and donate a little money here and there. Let's break that down. First, how is conversing with God penance, exactly? How would you feel if someone told you that conversing with you was an act of mortification for them? As someone who was recently told that very thing in so many words, and has heard that fairly consistently for most of my life, it isn't exactly fun. But then, Our Lord hears that from HIS OWN PEOPLE constantly. Hmmm. If nothing else, I guess I'm in good company on that point.

Next is the fasting thing. Let's be clear. The red meat fast is a good thing, but if you just order the Sea Bass, you know, the kind that melts in your mouth like butter from the sea, instead of the steak, is this really an act of penance? Are you REALLY making reparation to Our Lord for your sins and the sins of the world? No. At best the red meat fast makes you stop and think for just a moment about our Lord and His Passion. That is good, but if you dive into a meal that is otherwise sublime - just without one particular kind of food - this really isn't penance in any honest sense of the word.

Finally, almsgiving. Almsgiving that doesn't break the bank is fun. Especially when done in secret. That is one of the great joys in the well-lived life.

In the Third Secret of Fatima, which is being played out before our very eyes (the Fatima visionaries saw a bishop in white who they thought MIGHT have been the pope but were very confused about, which now makes perfect sense, whereas up until just a couple of weeks ago no one could make heads or tails of what that meant), an angel appears in conjunction with a great tribulation crying, "Penance, Penance, Penance!"

I'm afraid that a supernatural terror like that is what will be required to make anyone in this culture actually ponder the terrible, terrible crimes that have been committed against Our Lord and do any penance for them at all. Hundreds of millions of dead babies. The cult of sodomy. The destruction of the economic and financial systems and the resulting theft and deprivation of rightfully owned property and wages. The liturgical sacrilege of the Novus Ordo within the Church, and of all of the false religions and political cults all over the world that either pervert or deny Truth. It just goes on and on and on.

I, for one, will not wait until there is a giant angel with a flaming sword standing over me screaming, "Penance, Penance, Penance!" I love Our Lord now. I'm sorry not just for my own sins, but for the sins of the entire world right now.

What can I do, Lord? What can I do to console You as You suffer in the Garden? I know that most of these people are never going to wake up. I know that most of these people regard You as an abstract philosophical construct, a legalistic point of contract law, and a gift horse, and thus it will never occur to them that maybe You just want them to come to You in the Garden and ask to take on some of the burden of not just our own sin, but the sins of others, and to share in Your suffering - which is the real definition of the word "penance". When you love someone and you see them suffering, you should want to take it. We can't take all of it, but we can, like Simon of Cyrene, help. The merit comes not from the load of the penance we bear in and of itself, because we are talking about an infinite quantity. Infinity minus x still equals infinity. The merit comes in the movement of the soul in REAL CHARITY in desiring to share in Christ's sufferings through REAL penance just for His sake, and for the sakes of our neighbors, who we love not because of any quid pro quo, but because Christ loves them too. I don't personally like very many people, truth be told, nor is personal affection on my part required. But I am willing to suffer and do penance on their behalf because Our Lord loves them and desires their salvation, and so that is good enough for me. If it consoles Him, then that is what I want to do, because I love Him.

People, no matter who is elected pope, no matter what happens, none of this is going to be resolved in any way, shape, manner or form unless and until people start doing actual, real penance for the unspeakable, unprecedented sins of the world today. As in real, profound mortification and suffering, joined to Our Lord's Passion. Think prison. Think total loss of property and wealth. Think martyrdom. This culture not only refuses to do any real penance for the enormous sins we have committed against Our Lord, heck, we refuse to even acknowledge that any sins have been committed at all.

This isn't going to end well in an earthly sense. There exists no cardinal who can fix this as pope. All I'm praying for is that the next pope isn't a Marxist-homosexualist who hates God, hates His Church, hates the Mass, and hates Our Lord in the Eucharist. Given those criteria, pickins are slim, people. My advice to one and all is to embrace serious repentance and penance now motivated by true love for Our Lord (filial fear) and for neighbor, and not to wait until the motivation is abject terror rooted in selfishness and servile fear. Let me echo one more time the words of the angel in the Fatima vision: PENANCE! PENANCE! PENANCE!

Go to Him in the Garden now, and beg Him to let you help carry the Cross. But understand, if you ask this of Him, HE WILL LET YOU DO IT, and there will almost certainly be no earthly reward, only a heavenly one.

All of you people who attend a Nervous Ardor, er, I mean Novus Ordo parish (new post-1968 Mass in English with gameshow host, er, excuse me, priest facing the people) need to understand what was cut out of the Mass by the Marxist-homosexualist infiltrators and why.

At the end of every Mass (with just a couple of exceptions per year), the first fourteen verses of the Gospel of John are read. So yes, there are TWO Gospel readings per Mass: the variable Gospel in the liturgy of the Word, which changes every day, and John 1:1-14 at the very, very end of the Mass. The Johannine Gospel is referred to as "The Last Gospel".

John 1:1-14 is, in my considered opinion, the single greatest and most beautiful bit of prose ever written. The Holy Spirit really pulled out all of the stops when He inspired John to pen these verses. It is simultaneously macho and elegant. Especially in Latin. It is just perfect. Here is the English:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was made nothing that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men: and the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness to give testimony of the light, that all men might believe through him. He was not the light, but was to give testimony of the light. That was the true light which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world.

He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them He gave great power to become the sons of God: to them that believe in His name: who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Perfect. So why did the Marxist-homosexualist infiltrators remove the reading of the most beautiful bit of prose EVAH from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?

Short answer: Because they hate God.

Long answer: Because their satanic heresy, believe it or not, all turns on messing up the processions of the Trinity.

Huh?

It's actually quite simple. All of the Marxist-homosexualists are always going on and on about how giving people free stuff and letting people do whatever they want is the message of Christ and His Church, right? There is no sin, there is no hell, I'm okay - you're okay, do what you want and give people free stuff because ... wait for it ... God is Love. And love means free stuff, never ever having to say you're sorry, and sex.

The problem with this is that love PROCEEDS from logic and reason. Look at The Last Gospel. It's right there in the very first verse. In the beginning was THE WORD. Verbum in Latin. Logos in the original Greek. Logos means logic and/or reason in the Greek. John identifies God NOT as "The Caritas" (Latin for love, which is the root of the word charity) or The Agape (Greek for the ultimate self-sacrificial love). John does not say, "In the beginning was the Love..." No, no. John identifies God as THE LOGOS. The Word. Logic and reason. Existential Reality.

Why? Because Divine Love proceeds out of the Logos. Yep. Logic/Reason/Reality comes first, then only proceeding out of Logic/Reason/Reality is Caritas, which is love. Logic/Reason/Reality is the Divine Antecedent. Charity/Love is the Divine Corollary.

What satan, through his Marxist-sodomite helpers, has done is to REVERSE the processions. The Marxist-sodomite heretics preach that the "love" comes first and that logic and reason are massively subordinated at best, or the opposite and enemy of love at worst.

Kids, you mess up the processions of the Trinity and everything in your culture will fall apart POST HASTE. Just ask the Russians. And this is exactly what is happening to us since we have been overthrown by Marxist-Communists over the last 50 years, now fully accomplished by the Obama putsch regime, which is neo-Stalinist.

Think about it. The Marxist-homosexualists say that they want to give everyone free stuff, and the people have a "right" to free stuff. But that clearly doesn't jibe with reality. It is illogical and devoid of reason. Money has to come from somewhere. Physical commodities have to be produced and harvested at the expense of labor - MAN HOURS. Service commodities are a function of man hours and acquired human skill or talent. These things are not free, and do not exist in infinite quantities. A man can voluntarily choose to donate his labor, skill and time, but the donation, the charity, the LOVE therein MUST be preceded by the REALITY of the thing itself.

Let's just give everyone on earth a trillion dollars and call it good. Wouldn't that be *nice*? If we really loved our neighbor we would just give him a trillion bucks, right?

Um, yeah, except that would instantaneously collapse the currency and economy. Math will not permit such irrational insanity, and since math, as a subset of the Logos, precedes caritas, or love, we can't mandate that people be given free stuff. People can only be given free stuff in any sustainable way by other individuals acting from purely voluntary charity, not coercion. This is why MATH WINS, and why miracles like the multiplication of the loaves and fishes are exactly that - MIRACLES, not economic theories.

Oh, and with respects to sodomy, two men jamming things into each other's feces-laden colons or two women abusing one another is irrational. Like it or not, sex has to make anatomical sense and be ordered toward reproduction. And, nipping the screeching in the bud, sex between man and wife that is naturally infertile due to either a natural condition in a young woman, or due to the infertility of age in an older woman is 100% ratified by God in the miraculous births of Isaac and John the Baptist. Sodomy is irrational, intrinsically hateful and physically violent and is in direct opposition to the existential reality of human anatomy. Period. It can never, ever proceed from love.

This is why the Marxist-homosexualists removed the proclamation of The Last Gospel from the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, because it shoots down their Marxist rabble-rousing agitprop revolving around "free stuff" and the Sodomites' addiction to perverted sex acts.

Oh, and none of this has been taught in seminaries for over 50 years now. Your priest, bishop and the vast, vast majority of the Cardinals gathered in Rome know NOTHING about what an ex-cattle broker girl from Denver with an Amazon Prime membership just explained to you; never mind Superfun Rockband Church Pastor Jeremy.

Oh, no. Wait. That's King Saint Ferdinand III of Spain. Thirteenth century manly-man. Pious and holy as the day is long. Zealous propagator of the faith and manful slayer of many, many musloids. The love of his people was second only to his love of Our Lord and His Holy Church.

If you scroll down, I made a post in January titled "Pulchra Vera", which I intend to be a periodic feature - just a catchall post for any little bit of beauty that I stumble across, be it music, art, poetry, prose, pictures of beautiful things in outer space, whatever. You will recall that "pulchra" means beauty and "vera" means true, or genuine. So Pulchra Vera in this sense means "genuine beauty".

In this essay, however, I am going to play on those words a bit and address the beauty of Truth Itself. Truth and beauty are both constitutive qualities of God. Things that are true are true BECAUSE they are congruent with or of God. One plus one equals two not because your teachers said so, or because centuries ago a bunch of really smart Greek guys took a vote and decided that was how it was going to be. No. One plus one equals two because mathematical truth, as a subset of all truth, is contained in God Himself, and it is thus extant within His creation, and beyond that is a way for us to see and know Him. "The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of His hands."

But what happens when the truth is actually ugly? Does it lose its beauty? Should ugly truths be suppressed? Should painful truths be hidden, or even denied?

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Goodness gracious this is so important. Please pay good attention to this.

When the truth is ugly, it must STILL be declared. Boldly. Loudly. Persistently. Failure to declare ugly truths is itself an act of dishonesty, a bearing of false witness, and it makes impossible any attempt to push through the superficial ugliness and get to the pure, holy beauty beyond. If you refuse to declare ugly truths, then progress (in the good sense of the word) is halted. Everything stops and the only direction that has any freedom for movement is BACKWARD, away from truth, and thus away from God Himself.

Guys, this dynamic is EVERYWHERE around us today, and it is why civilization is going to implode any day now. No one will declare any ugly truths, and thus we have hit the wall as a civilization.

Examples:

The Catholic church has been massively infiltrated by a cabal of Marxist-homosexualists who hate God and are actively trying to destroy His Church from the inside out. In excess of 90% of ethnic Catholics in the west have stopped attending Mass in the last 50 years since the Marxist-homosexualists destroyed the Mass and began preaching Marxism, tolerance of infanticide and sexual deviancy. Anyone who says otherwise is simply a liar. They are bearing false witness, no matter what their motivation.

The entire global economy and financial system are massive, mathematically impossible Ponzi scheme and debt bubble that can never, ever be repaid with "money". The economy WILL collapse, there will be war, and there will be a settlement of debt via landmass reallocation and blood. At the top of this list of mathematically impossible and unfixable Ponziconomies is the former United States of America. FORMER.

Democracy or representative democracy beyond the local level simply does not work. Stupid people should have say over their own lives and households, but stupid people should NOT have a say or vote over any system that affects other people. The ugly truth here is that there are within the human population spectrums of intelligence, practical ability, management skill, psychological fitness and moral fitness. The higher the level of governance, the more of these qualities leaders must possess, and a leader or leaders at the highest level should possess ALL of these qualities in abundance. Today, the world is literally being run by people who are mentally and functionally retarded, with many of them being sociopaths, psychopaths or at the very least malignant narcissists. The current political order will never, ever, ever fix any of this. Anyone who promulgates hope in "elections" is bearing false witness, no matter what their motivation.

Islam is an evil totalitarian political system from the deepest, blackest pit of hell, masquerading as a faux-religion. It was consciously set up that way, and must be exterminated from the face of the earth without remorse in order to save the souls trapped inside of it and to prevent any more people from being victimized and destroyed by it. Period. Anyone who says anything else is bearing false witness, no mater what their motivation.

These are just four macro examples. I could go on and on and on. Now, an interesting question for YOU. Why are you here? Why do you read me? Why are you all so attracted to my jeremiads? My stock and trade rhetorically is basically talking about horrific, ugly truths that no one else will talk about. Why are you attracted to that? Why do I get all of these emails and hand-written letters describing me as "a breath of fresh air" and the JOY people experience from reading my essays and watching my videos about horrifically ugly truths?

Because ladies and gentlemen, TRUTH is BEAUTIFUL. Even when it reveals something so ugly that you can barely stand to look at it.

If you haven't figured it out yet, the ultimate manifestation of this is Christ Crucified. This is why we have crucifixes - not just crosses but crucifixes with Christ nailed to the Cross. The crucifix is the most beautiful image in the world, because it reveals the most beautiful truth in the world by first making us push through horrific ugliness. The horrific ugliness is God Incarnate, perfect and sinless, whipped until He is skinned and nailed naked to a tree … BECAUSE WE PUT HIM THERE BY OUR SINS. How can this possibly be beautiful? Because it is the complete expression and manifestation of God's love for man. When man asks, "Is there a God and does He care about me?" the only way to fully answer that question is by showing him an image that is so horrific that it makes us wince and look away. But then we look back. And look. And look. And look. Because what we are looking at is TRUTH, and truth is beautiful, but only so long as we don't try to "clean it up" or make it "easier to swallow". When you try to make ugly truths either more palatable, or even try to obscure them all together, you are embracing a lie. God died a horrific death for your sins and thus you sins CAN be forgiven because first you ARE a sinner, and your sins are HORRIFIC - but you have to have the antecedent before the corollary: you have to have the CROSS before you can get to the Resurrection. The Catholic church HAS been massively infiltrated and suffered a massive destructive catastrophe in the last 50 years at the hands of Marxist-sodomites. Until this is acknowledged and acted upon with holy intransigence, there will be nothing but continued erosion and destruction. The global economy is going to collapse. The United States of America no longer exists. Beating dead horses is insane. Nothing will happen until civilization seeks a new horse. A major war is going to have to be fought to purge the earth of islam and save the people of good will trapped within it. Islam is a cancer, and cancers must either be cut out, or they will kill you.

Denial of ugly truths only leads to more and more ugliness. Denial of ugly truths is exactly what satan wants. Satan wants humanity to believe that there is no sin, there is no hell, everything is just fine in the Church and there is no problem - especially with sodomite priests and lesbian nuns, one plus one equals seven or thirty-four or whatever you want it to equal, government can solve all of our problems - not that there is anything wrong to begin with, infinite amounts of free stuff can be distributed and theft can be executed by oligarchs ad infinitum with zero consequences, and if we will all just hold hands and have a group hug we can all get along and coexist.

2. Point taken on the FDIC post. It is probably still PER INDIVIDUAL PER INSTITUTION, not per individual across institutions - at least that section is still on the FDIC website (thanks for sending those citations in), however, my other point still overshadows that point: the FDIC only has a few billion in assets against ten trillion in customer deposits, with the big-5 banks having over a trillion in customer money each. The big point is, the FDIC is not in any realistic sense any sort of protection.

3. Like everyone, I am certainly taken aback by the Pope's abdication. The confluence of events happening right now is definitely frightening. But, I and many others have seen this coming for years. I knew we were in for big, big trouble with the usurpation by the Obama putsch regime in 2008. So, why be shocked now that it is coming to a head? I guess all of us have a little bit of normalcy bias and denial going on in our heads.

4. The papal abdication is very grim in my eyes. The precedent being set is horrible - the Pope will almost always be an "old man". If being an "old man" is a disqualifier, then ... who can be Pope? I have heard many conspiracy theories ranging from the slightly plausible to the patently absurd (shape-shifting lizard people, anyone?). Here is the BEST CASE scenario I can come up with - and bear in mind, I have no idea, I'm just saying this is the BEST CASE scenario: The Pope has been diagnosed with something that will eventually turn into dementia or some other form of incapacitation, and having seen John Paul II's descent into incapacitation and the vulnerability therein, B-16 is abdicating because he knows there is no one around him that will protect him in the way that he, as then-Cardinal Ratzinger, was able to effectively protect JPII from the nefarious actors around him - and we KNOW that there are nefarious actors very high up within the Vatican. This is why I keep harping and harping on the INFILTRATION by Communist-homosexualists. It is absolutely FOR REAL.

Again, what I have just laid out is not fact or knowledge on my part. It is simply the best-case scenario in my mind. Ugh.

5. For those of you who are harping on this as being "the end of the Church", um, you might want to go ahead and walk that back, because you are calling Christ Almighty a liar. What part of "and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" are we struggling to understand? The Church may get right up to the Gates of hell, but hell will never prevail. B-16 himself said a couple of years ago that the Church would become very "compact". I shudder at what he knows - especially after this. As I told someone not too long ago, so long as ONE valid Mass is said somewhere on earth per day, the Church will exist. The person I said that to winced and recoiled in horror. Yup. 6. On a personal note, the Petrine Primacy was the last hurdle I cleared in my conversion, and now it is a keystone in my faith. And do you know who explained it to me? So even the nasties never declared their own sins "licit" - which is utterly miraculous if you think about it, because that is the genesis of all of the heresies and schisms, like Luther wanting to have sex with Katarina von Bora, or Henry VIII wanting to dump whichever wife he was sick of and move on to the next concubine and have everyone applaud him for it.

Here is a description of an Easter Mass you don't see every day:

"Easter Sunday was quite a red letter day in the annals of the town (Pas de Calais, France). The regiment turned out in full strength, headed by the pipers, and crowded the sanctuary, every inch of the church, and out beyond.

I had eight stalwart sergeants standing guard with fixed bayonets (ASSAULT WEAPONS) round the altar.

At the Consecration and also at the Communion of the Mass the buglers sounded the Royal Salute which is given only to monarchs.

The guard at the word of command presented arms (In other words, they manfully brandished their ASSAULT WEAPONS), and in our poor humble way we tried to do honour to the Almighty King of Kings on the day of His glorious triumph.

I must not forget to add that the lassies and maidens did us the honour to sing during the Mass, casting many an envious glance (so rumour says) down on the handsome Irish lads praying so devoutly below."
